“a charming heartbreaking view”

This gay hotel was a gem among all the hotels in Mykonos the view is amazing , the best you can have on the island to watch the amazing sunset with a cocktail and your best friends.
The room are very nice , not too big tho.
Some rooms have a nice little terrace also .
The team is great and friendly, there is a show everyday in the summer to entertain the massive gay crowed who come everyday to watch the sunset til late before going back into town to eat.
I loved his place and will go again for sure

“Expensive outdated room but best view and location.”

I must say old rooms (outdated) for a 200 EUR per night , but on the other hand very friendly service from everyone at the hotel. Breakfast is good and adequate, good location near Mykonos Town. The best view of the island with excellent cocktails (overpriced) but obviously you are paying for the location and the show everyday during summer time around 8pm.

I will go back to this hotel in the future.

“Will come back”

Room : Complete, nice basket with soaps, toiletries, lubricant etc, minibar, great seaview from balcony, good cleaning. Negative points : Room is not to big, beds a little hard and small (i hate spiral matras), bathroom very small
Staff and service : GREAT We love them all
Pool and terras : I like the lounge sets and sunchairs. Poolbar with all kind of drinks, toilets very clean, nice pool To improve : Wirlpool is not heated To think about : I liked the music at the pool, my partner did like it less because he wanted to listen his own music of just no music
Food : Breakfast buffet is OK and enough; however a little more variation during the week would be appreciated; Negative : juices are kind of instant chemical stuff (Blehe)
Lunches and drinks at the pool are very good. However the prices for drinks are MUCH TO HIGH. This makes it very expensive to have a drink during the day at the pool and most guests buy their own drinks at the supermarket.

It is a steep climb from downtown to the hotel. But we did not mind. The view was more than a compensation :-)

All together we had a great stay in this hotel.

Room Tip: Take care in july and August the sunset parties can be later and it can be more noise. So better the...

“We're glad we didn't believe in some reviews.”

After 15 years, my partner and I were going back to Mykonos.
We have wonderful memories of our first trip - when we were young and energetic! - so we wanted to have a good experience second time around.
We spent sometime looking through the list of hotels and, totally confused, eventually, decided to engage a local travel agent (the delightful Rita at Wind Mills Travel) to help us out. We short-listed our preferred hotels and she pick up the Elysium straight (straight?) away. We argued that some of the reviews were very negative; she asked us to trust her. We did and are very happy for it.
We had a great time!
The location, as most people have already mentioned, is, quite simply, one of the best in Mykonos. Incredible vistas of the old town and the best sunset on the island.
The reception is neat and well designed and Nikko, at the desk, is great. Polite, helpful, efficient and always with a smile.
The room - we had one of the superior - was relatively small and looked a bit 'tired'. The fantastic view from our balcony partially made up for it. The bathroom also would benefit from a refurbishing.
Bar e restaurant services were excellent. The menu is rather limited but there's something for almost everyone and the quality of the dishes - presentation, freshness and taste - is quite exceptional for a hotel of that size.
The cocktails are OK and kind of overpriced however the staff that serves them is wonderful, not only efficient, friendly and polite, but also rather good to look at.
The sunset parties are definitely a must! Everyone seems to be there, including a few kids!, and everybody seems to have a good time. It certainly kick-starts the evening.
No, I can't say that it's very good value for money, as it's quite expensive, but it was well worth it.
We're very glad we believed Rita rather than the (very) negative reviews.
We'll be back and it won't take another 15 years!

Room Tip: Top cabins, away from the pool, have lovely balconies and beautiful views of the old town and the su...

“FANTASTIC. Pity about the price of the rooms!”

Just got back from a great two weeks at The Elysium. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the location of the hotel (up a killer hill) was AMAZING! Great sunsets watched with over 200 gay men and very professional drag shows every evening. We loved staying there!

However, we won't be returning due to the price of the rooms! We stayed in a standard room, which we could have stayed elsewhere in a similar room for a third of the price.

Dear Elysium Owner.....Bring the price of your rooms down or renovate them with a lot more luxury! The standard rooms are not value for money!
