Stayed at the hotel for the first time last week and was most impressed. Staff were very helpful and cheerful and did everything to make our trip trouble-free. Food was fantastic ,different every night with personalised chef show-cooking which was excellent. The oriental night with sushi was exceptional with numerous tasty choices !!
We had booked the Privilege package and it was certainly worth it with marvellous rooms and free use of the Privilege Lounge for all drinks !
Hotel is kept very clean and room servicing was top rate- we plan to return as soon as possible !!

We stayed at the Gran Tinerfe in January/February 2012. Hotel was very nice and our room was in a perfect position overlooking the pool and sea. The sunset was fabulous. I have two points to make - one, is that there is definitely not enough drawer space for clothing (particularly for ladies) and two, that the bathroom could do with a refurb. I understand this is in hand apparently. The staff you cannot fault, everyone has a smile, particularly Gardinea who is on the reception - she is an asset to H10. Beware, do not put your towels on loungers BEFORE 10.00 am - there is a lovely man who collects the towels and any personal property from chairs and stores them in a building by the pool, and you cannot retrieve them before 10.00. There is a notice by the pool, so do have a look at it. The gardens are set out beautifully with free forming pools. A heated pool for aqua exercise and a really good gym with walking machines and cycles. The hotel is situated in a central area, you can walk to Playa Las Americas (around 15-20 mins) or Del Duque (very up market area) again 20 mins. Plenty of public transport available if you wish to explore, and shops galore for the ladies. There's a fabulous shoe shop 2 mins from the hotel called Libra - bought two pairs myself. We would return to this hotel as it was very relaxing and the weather was good.

This was the first visit to this hotel. First impressions are good, modern reception area, very helpful, friendly and efficient staff. Room was on 8th floor and supposedly refurbished, none of the bathrooms are refurbished! Outside Areas are very good, 3 pools lots of lovely new sunbeds, no plastic ones here. No reserving of sunbeds and its enforced (good on them). Modern dining room, food typically Spanish, plates hotter than the food! The area where the food is displayed is not big enough which causes queues and tension with people on top of one another trying to get to the food. Plenty of entertainment throughout the day and evening, dance classes, yoga, pilates, theres also decent gym equipment.

To sum up in my opinion the hotel has been refurbished in part,however some of the refurbishment is of a poor standard, particularly in the bedrooms, which let it down. Outside areas are excellent, and the staff are some of the best I have ever encounted. They went out of their way to chat to single travellers without being intrusive, they were always pleasant, patient, and my goodness they had some very demanding customers.

We really enjoyed our 2 x weeks at this hotel last dec. food excellent nice rooms also no keeping sun beds as towels will be taken off. beach really handy also nice walks whichever way you turn out of the hotel. would return to this hotel in the future.
