Stayed at the Luabay 29th Jan to 5th Feb in my opinion this is a great hotel. It has been refurbished to a good standard. We were A/I and we found this a good deal with breakfast,lunch,evening meal and snacks in between no-one need go hungry. The food was above average for Spanish hotels, one downside the food was poorly marked. Personally we found lunch to be a slightly better standard than the evening meal. there was very little waiting for tables in the dining room, once seated the waiters would take your drinks order if you asked for a bottle of wine that's what you got (no scrimping).Pools were kept clean and there were plenty of sunbeds/parasols. Rooms were cleaned daily to a very high standard just leave your towels on the floor and they are changed.Entertainment could have been better but still got 3 good acts out of 6.The entertainment lounge could have been set out better it felt as if you were in a cinema as all the chairs are set out in rows with small tables here and there so some people were having to sit holding their drinks (not ideal). all in all we enjoyed the hotel and for the price yes I would return.

Thank you to the wonderful hard working staff from bar to restuarant cleaning, entertainment.just got back from a 3wk holiday sorry all you moaners could'nt fault it, if you want more you need to stay in a 5 star+pay more money!!!!!!!! instead of just sitting moaning get involved with the entertainmet Oscar he's great fun. Holiday is what you make it we met some great people & had some great banter with the waiters. there is some great walks out from the hotel.( beware of people with scratch cards they are time share in disquise)

after reading the reviews we were worried about coming to the hotel. However on arrival the room was a good size, clean and had very comfortable beds. The balcony was a good size and overlooked the pool. We were on the 6th floor which we prefer although with one lift out of action for most of our stay we did have to use the stairs at times.The food was ok nothing special but you could always find something to eat. The pizza's were very good and freshly made. Most of the staff were really helpful and friendly. One of the staff on reception was not very helpful, and some of the restaurant staff were a bit quick to take your plate,at one point i was still eating when my plate was removed!. The storage in the room was a bit lacking with 3 drawers but we managed. The shower was great,and we didn't .have any problems with it overflowing.All in all we had a good experience at the hotel and would go back again. The harbour area was to be avoided at all costs as you were hounded by people trying to get you to go on trips. Also there was a man begging who followed you along the road. Our aim was for a relaxing break in the sun and we achieved this.We were at the hotel for 12 days from 23rd Jan to 4th Feb

Just returned from the Luabay from a week stay was worried after reading all the negative reviews, but they were unfound. I think Dave from Wakefield was at another hotel!! We are quite fussy and yes you could nit pick. We had lovely holiday here, the restaurant staff were busy and working very hard but if you wanted anything they would willingly help. The food was fine you could aways find something to eat, smoked salmon,salmon steaks,beef steak,sushi and lots of other things what more could you want. the labeling could have been better. The drinks were very good very generous measures!! Plenty of sun beds.The room was on the first floor so did not need to use the lifts other guests said they were fine. Overall we had a really good holiday there and would go again.
