“Just what a holday should be...”

Just returned from week at the Jardines de Nivaria and cannot recommend it too highly. Everything was exceptional; Service, Room (we were given a free upgrade from garden to sea view) Food (excellent variety and quality) Heated pool, UK TV channels. Only improvement we can think of would be coffee/tea making facilities in room....but this is a trivial point in relation to the overall picture.
We will certainly be going back to the J-d-N and will be recommending this to friends

“We had a nice stay :)”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 January 2012

We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel :)
Staff was very kind to us and there is plenty of things to do at the hotel (tennis, gym, ping pong and much more...) and in the area nearby (big outlet, jogging or walking spot where we can go enjoying the sea view. My boyfriend and I rent a car, which I highly recommand to do if you want to visit the island and we had a very nice spot to park it every time at the hotel whether it was in the outside parking lot or in the garage. The only negative points are that the breakfast open hours were a bit early in the morning ... and as we like to stay late in bed in the morning we didn't get to eat breakfast a lot there... also it was very difficult for us each time to get a pool chair there was always too much people around the pool for the number of chairs available
But overall our stay was nice :)

Thank you very much for writing this nice comment about your stay with us. A shame you did not have breakfast too often, as we have a huge buffet with lots of variety. But it is true that we open our restaurant early and finish at 10.30am, which for some guests might not be long enough. But on the other hand the mayority of our guests use to get up early and have an "early" breakfast.
We always provide enough sun beds for our guests but because of the size of the pools we cannot put them all around the pools. Some of them are in a second or third row and many sunn beds are on our sun terrace, as you may remember. But it is true that the ones next to the pools are the most popular ones.
We hope that we could reach your expectations and that we may welcome you again in the future.

Kind regards.

“Friendly, clean and quiet”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 January 2012

I spent 9 nights over new years eve there, and the hotel was very nice overall. Everything is clean, all the staff is very friendly (and most of them speak english and sometimes other languages), and it's in general a quiet place. Even though the hotel itself is located in the middle of a very touristic area (and quite an ugly one, IMHO). Direct access to the beach is a nice feature, the massages in the spa were great, and the pool area is beautiful and well maintained (heated saltwater pool made swimming even in December a pleasure).

I had only minor issues, like not getting coffee after dinner in the hotel restaurant (you have to go down to the bar for that), or only a very limited choice of table served food (however, the buffet was rich and very good); or the "fitness center" which isn't really that agreeable (being underground, and with a very limited selection of machines, some of which being out of service etc.). I have to admit, though, that the bar / sofa lounge area is a very pleasing place, with nice live piano music at times; ideal for reading a book in the evening.

My room was very nice and comfortable, with a large balcony (2 chairs, 2 sunbeds, table and sunscreen), WiFi in the room worked good enough most times, and 24h room service was also flawless.

So in short, the hotel itself is very good, it's biggest weakness is the ugly place it's located in (not one palm tree at the beach, but a hundred shops, karaoke bars and a Mc Donalds... not exactly my idea of a nice beach, but you're view may be different). However, the hotel also offers free bikes to get around and check out the surroundings with, which is another nice touch.

Thank you very much for taking some time and writing a comment about your stay with us. We hope you have enjoyed your stay with us and are glad to read that you liked our hotel, staff and services in general.
It is true that we do not serve coffee after dinner in the restaurant and offer it in our bar. Many of our guests find it nice to change location after dinner. Unfortunately we cannot do anything about the area but in the end it is not too bad, as we offer our guests a calm hotel where they find a little oasis to relax, but at the same time, outside of the hotel, they can find shops, restaurants, bars, etc.
Nevertheless we hope that we as the hotel with our services and facilities could reach your expectations and hope to welcome you again in the future.

Kind regards.

“Close to ticking all our boxes but not quite.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 January 2012

Top marks to staff, the delightful very warm sea water pool, lovely & well kept gardens, location overlooking the sea, towels & linen changes a plenty, great sea side walks, great buffet breakfasts, the small poolside restaurant was a nice alternative to formal dining. room extension without charge until 6 pm on departure day, cleaning & services were excellent.
Not quite happy about room which was fitted out for invalid use & we were not told this so bathroom facilities (huge "drive in" shower area, very low set toilet, small narrow bath) were not at all what we would have chosen. Wi fi reception was very poor & sometmes unavailable in our room near the towel hut. Were there for 9 days over Christmas & standard of entertainment was mediocre & the 3 Tenors from Venezuela were really poor. Noticed that the room rate charged almost doubled over Christmas period but still the hotel appeared to be almost full so the laws of supply & demand apply.

Thank you very much for your comment about your stay with us. We are glad to read that we were close to ticking all your boxes and we hope that you had a nice stay with us in general. You did not mention if you asked for a room change, because everytime we are informed that a guest is not happy with his room and would like to change the room we try to find a solution. Sometimes a room change is not possible, for example if there is no availability in the booked room category but then we can still offer other options. To solve the "problems" of our guests, to make their stay better, we need to know about them, because we always do our best to make the stay of our guests as enjoyable as possible.

It would be a pleasure welcoming you again in our hotel. Please do not hesitate to contact us for a future stay with us.

Kind regards.
