“Relaxing holiday”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 January 2012

From the start to the end of the week our holiday could not have been better. Service was good though at times the restaurant staff were under a lot of pressure. The food was lovely and the rose cava a delight. We were in a room which was on the opposite side from the reception, unfortunately trolleys full of glasses or crockery went past our room door till quite late at night. In the morning I spoke to a receptionist who offered to change our room to a quieter one, this was not a problem. We moved to a room with a wonderful view of the sea and it was indeed quiet and peaceful. We would certainly go back to stay and as for the hills, we took them in our stride.

Room Tip: Don' t go to rooms 505-509 unless you are up past 1am.

“Decent place, great views & good value for the price.”

The hotel was ok considering price, it is however on a steep hill and as such is not really suitable for anybody with walking difficulties.
You will have to get taxis to most places if you intend to go out.
There are however plenty of lifts so you can still manage getting around the hotel areas and avoid the huge amount of steps with little problem.
The food in general was good but often fairly cold (especially scrambled egg at breakfast) Poolside food was very good Burgers, hot dogs, kebab meat salad etc
The rooms are large and cleaned well daily, beds where comfortable
TV in our room only had 2 english speaking tv channels CBeebies & Eurosport.
Staff are all good to excellent we had no issues at all.
Plenty of sun beds and pools (bottom pool not heated, fairly deep so watch out for non swimmers. Also depth although stated not that clear)
All in all a good hotel, great viewing location, good staff, decent rooms and we would return depending on price.

“Honest Opinion”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 January 2012

CHECK IN was fast and efficient all details of the hotel given location resteraunts pools etc
LOCATION, although located on a steep hill and a little out of the way, and a sore climb for us oldies 50+ the views from the terrace are amazing and make it worth while. Three lifts required from room to reach main pool area and ground floor. Not a problem as we never had to wait on a lift
ROOMS, Initially given a room on floor five which basically had no terrace or balcony, given another room on floor eight, perfect. Both rooms were large and comfortable althouh a little dated had eveything that you require.
CLEANLINESS The hotel was always kept clean, and rooms done every day to a good standard.
STAFF. Along with the view, this is the Hotel,s best atribute, staff were at all times helpfull, efficient and pleasant, even when it was obvious that more staff were needed, at certain times, and the staff on duty were overworked they always smiled and gave 100%
FOOD, This was at best mediocre, On our first visit, we were approached by another guest who informed us to be aware of the meat cooking station as he had been given on his opinion an undercooked piece of pork and was ill for two days. he was right, if you wanted to wait in the queue you had to be careful you were not given anything undercooked. The rest of the food was always lookwarm and not as hot as we Brits would like but maybe acceptable to other nationalities. The Restaurant/Canteen could be chaos at times, and needed more staff, but the staff who were working did a first class job.All that said I never came out of the restaurant hungry, but it did cause us to eat out three times in the week we were there.
GROUNDS and POOL area,s kept in very good condition sun bed,s to be found without much problem.
Would I return--- The answer would be Yes If you have already booked in my opinion you wont be dissapointed

Room Tip: In my opinion avoid floor level five unless you are a family

“Paradise!”

A perfect place to stay! You just feel like being in paradise: everything is perfect - hotel with service, rooms and the huge garden with plants and a waterfall, the pools, the meals, the drinks, the music, the atmosphere... You can't describe it - just stay there and enjoy! We went there two times & want to stay there again next year. It's just ten minutes walking distance to the nice beach "playadel duque", you can visit the whole island of Teneriffe with its wonderfull nature.

“Great place”

I've been there for a week with my boyfriend in september 2011 and we had a great time. The hotel is located in a place with an amazing view. The rooms are nothing special but very clean. When we came back to the room in our first night we found a bottle of champagne, sweets and a card to wish us a pleasant stay. It was such a nice surprise and we felt special:) The pools are nice. The staff is very polite. Breakfast is perfect and the food for lunch and dinner as well. Although the servers were extremely busy they made everything to serve us well. We liked a lot Adrian, the waiter from Venezuela that gave us a very nice attention although he was so busy all the time.If I have another holiday in Tenerife and Costa Adeje I will definitely stay in this hotel again.
