One of the better hotels in the area... but it is more of a bad, worse comparison. Rooms were quiet- except when the drunk Germans staying on the same floor return at 2 AM, bed was fairly comfortable, bathroom was clean. Typically the attitude of the staff does not affect my review but the front desk people at this hotel are terrible - never greeted us or smiled, when we asked to change rooms, just NO, when we asked about the bus schedule - EVERY HALF HOUR (they forgot to mention at :15 and:45 - so I missed the first airport bus and waited and extra 30 min). Also, they would not allow our friend to come up to the room to meet us, so he was waiting quietly in the lobby and they told him he can't use the Wifi (from his iphone) and to go outside to wait for us... what kind of hotel doesn't let you wait in the lobby and dictates the wifi?? And the wifi connection did not even work most of the time... A bike bag was stolen from one of our bikes in the bike room - and if you rent a bike clean it before your return it or it will cost you an extra 15 Euros,which of course we were told as we were giving the bike back not before agghhhhhh..............

Just spent a week at the El Cid.
The hotel is located at the perfect location right on the promenade by the beach.
Close to the airport, shopping, plenty of restaurants, and all of the attractions on the Promenade.
The two pools were clean and well maintained.
The facilities are spotless.
The staff friendly and very helpful.
We had no problems communicating with the Hotel personnel even though neither one of us speaks Spanish.
Our room had a great view of the beach from the balcony.
The only complaint that we had was that the bed consisted of two twin beds pushed together, instead of a queen or king mattress.
Overall, we totally enjoyed staying there and would definitely recommend it or go back to stay there again ourselves.

Travelled with First Choice from Edinburgh to this hotel. Hotel only 10mins from airport. Location excellent only 2 mins from lovely beach. Reception staff ok but not a great wellcome. Room was clean and bathroom very nice. Paid for sea view room but most were partial sea view. We stayed half board but found food quality quite poor with regard to variety, very disappointing. They had two pools with a number of beds but very few umberellas. If you are into fitness facility extremely poor. Not many children but clients mainly German or Spanish, very few British. This side of Palma seemingly tends to be the German/Spanish side. Overall OK apart from food but woukd certainly not go back to this hotel

Nice,easy hotel.3 pools.Many people from Germany,about 60 years,no many family with small children.Polish gangsta,short hair,gold,tatoos,very dangerous but they are very easy.Man from staff told me"they have always weapon on the rooms,but they are very easy".No problem with him,they are very nice.Hotel good location,many places for shopping,clean beach.Good hotel for relax.Very good eat.
