Have just returned from 1 week here - just wanted a quick cheap break in the sun. You never know do you? but we would highly recommend this property. Clean, re-furbished, excellent position with spectacular views over the whole of the Bay of Palma - we were on the 9th floor so superb. Our room had all new furniture and a very clean bathroom (can get the usual sewer smells). All rooms have balconys overlooking the beach and bay. The staff were helpful and we were even able to check in 4 hours early with no problem. Just a tip - if you intend to self cater quite a bit you will be limited at the Pil Lari as the kitchenette only has 2 electric rings and a fridge (no microwave etc) this did not bother us as we ate out all the time but just be aware. The resort is immaculate with excellent promanade and very clean beach with parasols & sunbeds for hire. The whole front from Arenal to Can Pastilla is cleaned every day (beach/bins/promanade/street/road). The Balinearos (promanade cafes) - there are 15 evenly spaced along this coast are very clean and good prices. Palma Aquarium is just 7 minutes walk away, buses to Palma (15 & 25) stop right at the front of the hotel and if you go to the far end of Can Pastilla there is an excellent costal path and cycleway. One thing to bear in mind is that this part of the resort is almost totally German and it was very rare to hear another British voice this meant that the choice for eating was a bit limited and samey Pizza/Pasta/fish/Bratwurst so if you prefer a bit more choice you would need to look hard. Thoughh it serves the kind of food mentioned we found L'Acardia to be very good. A tip - do be careful on buses if you are carrying a handbag that you wear like a backpack - if the bus is crowded as they often are watch the bag and the hands around you. I am really careful and had my back to the window but someone stood next to me had had his hand across the back and had my bag almost open - I discovered it in time and he jumped off the bus rather quickly. There is a tourist train which runs from Arenal to Can Pastilla and back for 4 euros per person which makes a change. And finally ladies there are some "to die for" handbag shops with excellent choice.

Just returned from a 3 night stay at the pil-lari playa, was a bit unsure, after only paying £100 for flights and the appartment, but on arrival we were amazed with this place, we were certain when we arrived we had got the wrong place.The reception staff were very friendly and helpfull, the reception area was spotless and modern, we were allocated a room on 7th floor and wot a view we had of the beach and Palma bay , the room itself was so clean, with modern furnishings, a kitchen area a very smart bathroom and flat screen tv ( 2 english channels BBC1 & 2). the room was cleaned and towels changed even though we were only there for 3 days. in fact we could not find fault with the pil lari at all,

Yes the resort is mainly german, but who cares when you are away on holiday, If you want lobster pink brits, scallies n chavs, bingo and egg and chips go to Magaluf, if you want a fab beach, fantastic appartments go to the pil lari.

Just one warning, the area up towards Arenal has become a hotspot for African illeagal imigrants, trying part you of cash for fake watches/sunglasses/belts and other tat, it could be a bit intimidating at times, the local tourist police should have a clamp down.

We stayed 7 nights Oct. 10 to 17. Great view. Room vas spotless and cleaned 3 times during our stay.
We did not go to Spain to watch TV, so we did not miss that, but they will install in 2010.

Great Location 5 second walk from beach. Everything else close by. 20 minute bus ride to Palma (bus stop outside hotel). Do not get a taxi from airport as only 2 euros on 21 bus. Bus services reliable.
Hotel clean. Only complaint would be no kettle in room as rest of kitchen is fine.
Best point is sea view from balcony. Lovely to relax with a drink watching sunset.
