This 4 star hotel is absolutely stunning to say the least. Unfortunately we picked the wetest fortnight in Mallorca I have ever experienced. Luckily for us the hotel has a large indoor heated pool with jacuzzi which we made the most of. It also has a gym, sauna and steam room and a solarium. We had a couple of sunny days and had a choice of two pool areas to sunbathe in. I would recommend the terrace area situated at the back of the indoor pool, only because it is slightly more sheltered from the breeze and is a quieter area. There are tennis courts and mini golf on the campus. There are several bar areas to choose from all very reasonably priced. There are computer terminals so you can keep an eye on your e-mails etc. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The cleaners come in every day. Towels can be changed every day if you wish. Bedding is changed every other day. It is certainly well worth the 20 Euros deposit to have pool towels at your disposal and these can be changed as frequently as you wish. Keep your receipt to retrieve your deposit at the end of your stay. We had a TV and hairdryer in the room, also a minibar, but we used ours to keep our own drinks cold as there is a large supermarket - MERCADONA a few yards away from the hotel - very reasonably priced drinks etc. here. The food served at the hotel is second to none. The choice is vast catering for all tastes and nationalities. Be aware it is so easy to put weight on, especially if you have a sweet tooth - desserts to die for! We found German tourists in the main stay here, but as it was the dance festival we were surrounded by Spanish, Puerto Ricans, French, Canadian, German and British guests. If we needed to have an English conversation we popped down to the Queen Vic for a pint, very nice people run this pub, it's only a few streets away just across from the Beachcomber bar in the alleyway heading towards the beach. They also have a very large TV screen, great for the sports buffs as they offer all the latest football, cricket matches etc. A very warm welcome awaits anyone coming through their door.
The location of the hotel is superb. 2 minutes walk to the beautiful sandy beach and shopping area. Just across the road you can hire a car if you wish, there is also a petrol station a few yards up the road on the opposite side. There is a bus stop outside the Hotel bus number 23 - if you want to pop down to Palma - approx 2 Euros one way - (45 mins). By Taxi it's approx 17 Euros, a lot quicker (10 mins max). You can also catch bus number 15 from the beach which takes you to Palma too.
Excellent taxi service from/to Palma Airport to the Hotel - unfortunately my Spanish meant we ended up going to the hotel next door - the one with the fantastic Spa - a bit more pricey than ours! However, it took all of 1 minute to walk over to it. Again approx 17 Euros for this trip.
All the hotel staff are very friendly - all speak excellent English. If you need anything just ask, nothing is too much trouble.
Only one downside about the resort - too many lookie lookie boys selling the same old tat! You really have to ignore them and walk by otherwise it can get on your nerves. Remember to stear clear of anyone trying to sell you flowers, "gold" jewellery, street traders with find the pea under the cup and beggers - just keep going don't stop! Also keep bags between yourself and your partner - advice given by the hotel. Common sense really.
When the sun shines here its paradise. A 2 hour flight from the UK and a ten minute taxi ride - I would thoroughly recommend this hotel and the resort to anyone looking for a seaside holiday. I wish I was there now. I can dream can't I?
