stayed here for 2 weeks in december 2011.nice and quiet and relaxing.the rooms are spacious and cleaned.....changed regular: the kitchen was well equipped, lots of pans,cutlery,cups,glasses, also there IS A KETTLE AND TOASTER we didnt have to hire them the only thing i missed was a microwave but we got by, plenty of wardrobe space.We were on second floor and got the sun on our balcony from noon till 6, weather was hot between 23 and 27 but cooler at night, t.v.has only BBC.news, plenty of bars, good places to eat and loads of shops on main drag and only 10 min walk,the beach is massive and clean,didnt use pool as it was in the shade and dirty but sol 2 is over the road with 2 pools,Ifound the spar very good it was cheapest, we had a great holiday.

My boyfriend (23) and I (21) stayed here September 2011 for a week. We wanted simple accommodation in a great location and that is exactly what we got!! We stayed in ACUARIO SOL 2. We were lucky, the reception is based at Acuario Sol 1 and didnt look great. When booking choose 'pool view' this should get you in the other building. Its only 30 seconds up the road. We had good flight times and arrived at the hotel about 1 in the afternoon. The room looked at first a bit dark because of the dark curtains but these proved very useful for a nap in the afternoon! Nice size lounge if you have people pre-drinking before a night out. Nice big sofa also.
We were one level up and stayed in room 115. They gave us 2 single beds but we just pushed them together and it was fine. We had a fantastic view of the pool also. The corner shop is right opposite Acuario Sol 1. And has everything you need. If you follow the road round the right, passed Acuario Sol 1 and take the first left. Walk all the way down. Then turn right. you reach the very start of the main strip, turn right and keep walking! There is another way if you walk out of Acuario Sol 2 and turn left and turn left again it cuts out the boring bits of the strip.
The cafe on site is lovely. We met a nice English lady that ran it. Good quick food. Perfect for pool snacking.
The rooms were cleaned 3 times during our stay and towels changed 3 times also.
There are several trips you can go on, some take you to the volcanos around the island. A couple we met rented a car for a day and found that was a better way of getting round.
This hotel was great for food (the do a Sunday roast and a BBQ all you can eat once a week!), great for sleep. The road its on is quiet and away from noise but just a short work up the road you reach the nightlife.
ALSO! The sand is VERY hot you WILL need shade you can buy a parasol for 8euros or take your own!
Very pleased with the price and I am going back July 2012!

This is the third time I have visited these apartments I if anything they have got better.

Helpful staff. Exceptionally clean. Apartments well equipped. Close enough to the shops and bars that you can be there in about 5 minutes but far enough away that there is no noise. Very safe as there is a gate that is locked at night and only residents have a key.

Only moan would be that there are only twin beds and not a double.

Acuario Sol I is a smaller complex with a small pool and a sun terrace. This ideal for couples, older people, singles.

Acuario Sol II is bigger with 2 or 3 pools and is more suited for families and children.

Just come back from here and I have no complaint at all
Perfect location to PDC and the bar is ideal for a quickie before you go out...
I like it that much that we are now looking to go again..
