Overall me and my wife had a great time at the Arena Dorado. We stayed there for Christmas week and the atmosphere around the resort was great i.e. lots going on and a nice friendly vibe. We stayed self catering and we couldn't ask for a better equipped apartment. Being only a stones throw away from the strip the location was superb and not at all noisy as you may expect at first. The pool area and bar was nice especially during happy hour 2 euro for two pints and the staff were pleasant. Our only gripe was that we arrived after reception closed 8pm and thus we didn't physically receive our key. We were met with a sign stuck up on the inside of reception saying that our key was in the room and that we should come to reception in the morning to give details etc. At first we thought fair enough but then around 1.30am we had someone try and get into our apartment whilst we were asleep. Thinking about it we could only think that someone had probably walked past reception and seen if they may be in luck with a free room for the night? At the time it was a bit worrying but after we laughed it off, we spoke to reception and they said that was the first time that had happened so it was probably just a one off! Apart from this small incident we had a great time and would happily stay again.

Me and a friend stayed for a week and couldn't of picked anywhere better! It was right in the middle of the strip near all bars a restaurants. The pool area was good with a pool table and bar what has happy hour!

The apartments are just behind the McDonalds and easy to find. In terms of the bars, most bars is 2 cocktails for €7 and if the 'rep' takes you in then you also get free shots. If you go to the end of the strip (to the right when leaving the hotel) there's a bar called 'Reds 2' which is €10 all you can drink for 1 hour which believe me you will not be leaving that place sober I can tell you!

If you go to the left you've got The Big Apple, Ricks Bar, Atomic & Nikki Beach...all 2 cocktails for €7!

Make sure you go on the Saturday night bar crawl (made my holiday). €10 a ticket which you can buy on the strip off the reps, get your own T-shirt on the night and the staff Emma, Lou & Nathan who take you from bar to bar were amazing and so friendly. It is a MUST!

Perfect apartments, perfect location and unbelievable value for money!

Will only ever stay here when it comes to Lanzarote!

we stayed here in october very pleased enjoyed our 2 week holiday The room was nice and clean ,our cleaning lady was lovely we were well looked after location was good just behind mcdonalds bit disapointed where our room was just facing a garden nothing going on very quite b block. If i went back here i would try to get a room near the pool .didnt use the pool much but looked very nice nothing wrong with apartments bedroom kitchen bathroom and bedroom

We stayed here for a week and had no complaints. Location is perfect near the beach and all the restaurants (try "La Taberna de Nino" in the same street!).

Room was adequate, all you need, no more no les. Nice and quiet at night and friendly people at the reception.

We didn't use the pool, so can not say much about that.
