“lovely!”

loved the alondras, stayed in 2 bedroom suite and as it was just my husband and i, really loved the fact we had so much space. so peaceful and quiet. only one bad point, on your last day you have to be out by 10am, much too early if, like us, you have a night flight but were able to have a late checkout for an extra 30 euro which we werent happy about considering we had paid over £2000 for a week but overall would thoroughly recommend them!

“wonderfully private,dream of returning.....”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 June 2011

my husband and i went to alondra suites in january,we were wanted somewhere private just to kick back and chill without having to meet people durring the day(we are not anti social but we both work very hard and deal with people all day)anyway that is what we got.we had booked a 2 bed suite but when we arrived our suite wasnt ready.........HOW LUCKY...we were then given a 3 bed suite....beautiful,my business is in art ,crafts and interiors and this suite ticked every box for style and taste the view of your private pool from the sitting room ,the design of the bedrooms the out door sofa ...I am ILL thinking about it!!!!!! sitting here looking out at the rain.!the cleaners were so nice and the standard of upkeep was great.
Its a walk down to the town and if you have been to lanzarote you know its a bit dated we did one look around and headed back to our modern suite. However you can walk to the next village {a cliff walk )beautiful views and a great spot to have a coffee and watch the world go by .
After our sucluded days vand a few glasses of wine we hit the Dubliner(think thats its name a bit fuzzy on details!!) great fun meet people from every country and danced the night away taxi home(unbelievably cheap)
We ate out every evening as we couldnt bear to mess the place we had wonderful meals on most nights, and only had a late breakfast around 11 in the alondra restaurant we also ate there on one evening excellent but perhaps a little expensive.
alondra would be a great place for two couples as there enough space to allow room for yourselves.if the pool was heated in winter it would have been heaven ...but then you cant have everthing
only problem you get an electronic key to get in the gate at night ,which for security is good but there is no night porter and you are not given a number ...so what happens if you loss a key???
anyway as you can tell we had a wonderful time in a wonderful place
its not IF we go back its WHEN....and we hope the two bed suites arent ready as we dream of suite no 44.

“Some nicer than others”

Stayed in number 8 alondra villa the end of may. It was very nice, clean and spacious. There was only 2 of us so size was not an issue in a three bedroom villa. There are three types of accomadition the villas, the grand villas and the suites. In the villas where we stayed there was no wi fi no parasol for the pool only tv in the living room although there were tv points in the bedroom they didn't work. Any requests to reception fell on deaf ears as none were met. Villas number 7 to about 11 have their pools to the front of the villa which lacks privacy. All others have their pools to the back. Every where around the villas were well maintained. We paid 1897 euro which was way overpriced in my view. And noisy neighbors didn't help matters. If I was to return I would stay in the suites which were unavailable when we booked and are even more expensive but for privacy and quite the suites would be better. I would give the villa we stayed in a 3 star plus.

“Perfect Villa in every way”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 April 2011

We have recently returned from our Easter break at the Grand Alondra Suite. We opted for the grand suite as it had three large bedrooms (two superking beds and one twin bedded room) and three bathrooms. Each bedroom had a large flat screen t.v. with plenty of English channels and two rooms were en-suite with one family bathroom. Each bathroom was tastefully furnished with marble and mosiac and lovely big showers. One en-suite was equipped with jacuzzi- style bath looking out on a private garden. The kitchen was equipped with everything you needed and looked brand new. The utility room was a great asset with washing machine and tumble dryer and an outside drying area again completely private. Our lounge had a massive window overlooking the pool and garden with beautiful shrubs and cacti and a putting green with bunker! The staff were there every day to tend the garden and pool together with the efficient cleaning staff. We had our own entrance keys all electric so felt very safe there. We did not have a car but on hindsight would have preferred one simply to cart the water back from about a five minute walk to the shops (up a hill). The villa was quiet at night and although the weather was not as hot as we expected, we still managed to swim and sunbathe and eat outside some evenings.

Room Tip: Our villa was in an extremely quiet area.

“Absolute Gem of a villa”

Luxurious villa which is a real treat, the quality is beyond anything else on the island. The locations could be better at the top of a large steep hill with small kids but if without, close to old town and the nicer restaurants and hopping centre.

Only downside is the privatepool is not heated which means it's nearly unusable except for very brief plunges, no lounging with a beer here I am afraid.
