Had a lovely visit in late Sept 2011. We went half-board however most people self-cater as the apartments have a kitchenette; sink, kettle, toaster, 2 ring electric hob (Note: no oven/microwave/grill!) and plenty of tableware. Nice bathroom with large shower and hairdryer. Sitting area had a two-seater, coffee table and TV (Sky News the only worthy english speaking channel). Bedroom was plain and simple - twin beds, 2 side tables and a fitted wardrobe with a safe (extra charge of approx. €2/day). Maid cleaned/replenished towels every 2 days. Overall very clean and comfortable. The only downside for me were the beds - not very comfortable!
For those HB then the meals are in the onsite restaurant with Adele, Mario and Dimas (the chef) hosting - they were all very nice and friendly. The breakfast was a small continental style buffet but Adele would provide toast and fried/scrambled eggs on request. Tea/coffee and OJ were on offer and included in the HB. Dinner was a 3-course meal and you have a choice from 2 starters, 2 mains and 2 deserts. Whilst the choice wasn't plentiful, what you got was tasty and Dimas took pride in the food he turned out. Thumbs up to the guys there - I tipped them well.
The location, whilst close to the airport, was great. As well as being a €10 cab ride the planes didn't bother us - they don't fly directly overhead. The last plane is around 10pm and the first 7:30am. Apart from the planes there's no noise from nearby pubs/clubs so is quiet. The only thing to disturb you is your neighbours to the side and above you (if you're on the ground). The location also meant you were 5-10min walk to a beach, 10min to a shopping centre (restaurants/pubs/Spar supermarket) and 15-20min to the end of the airport runway if you wanted to see the planes close up on landing.
Will def go back.
'Something to do' tip: We hired from the bike shop (located in the shopping centre) and at €10 for a 24hr period you'll have a great time riding along the coast. Arrecife isn't that far even if you're only a little bit fit!
Room Tip: Apartment 20 is right at the end of the block and is quiet.
