“VALUE FOR YOUR MONEY!!!!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 February 2012

We have just from San Francisco Park Apts and were thoroughly pleased with our 10days there. The Apts are clean, well looked after, very secure and really close to the main strip with a reasonably priced Supermarket next door. The two ladies on Reception ,Tamsin and Manon were very pleasant and extremely helpful.During the day and night the Apts are quiet and restful with lttle or no disturbance.
My wife and I have visited Puerto Del Carmen many times and found these Apts to be really most convenient to Restaurants and all amenities.
Recommended eating places for value and food Quality: Peking Duck[Buffet] ,La Brasa, La Terezza[both on corner of Street leading Apts!!!],The Codfather,Pinnochios and The Golden Corner especially for Breakfast, amazing value!!!.
At night we enjoyed the entertainment at the Vik San Antonio Hotel, especially the 60S/70S/Abba tribute bands!!!
The only disapointment was the Weather with a few cloudy days and chilly at night. However we did have a few sunny days [up to 26degs ]which did compensate. Enjoyed our local bus trip down to Playa Blanca.
Major disappointment was Los Casa Roja Restaurant in the Old Town alongside the Harbor. We waited 1hr and 10mins for our meal to be served and had miniscule portions to make it even worse!!!A free Dessert platter and I free Cappucino didn't really compensate fpr a poor experience!!! We normally would make a point of eating there when we go to PDC but I doubt if we would repeat the experience!!!
To summarise ,we are planning to return to San Francisco Park hopefully sooner rather than later!!!.

Back from another great stay in the San Francisco Park. I stayed here with fiancée and we are both in our twenties, and had a wonderful relaxing time. It is close to all of the amenities and restaurants as well as the beach. I can't stress how clean this place is, the heat in the apartment was easily dissipated when the bathroom window was left opened which conveniently had security wire and bug netting over it. I would highly recommend this apartment complex to anyone and will be back again, if your looking for somewhere clean, with a chilled out atmosphere on a tight budget this is it! Book directly with the hotel, Ryanair flight and you can't go wrong. A taxi for two people from the airport is between €12 and €14 one way as its not to far away.

“Another fantastic stay at San Francisco Park”

We have just returned from another wonderful stay at the San Francisco Park. Totally relaxing and peaceful! The staff greeted us like long lost friends and as ever, made us feel very welcome - nothing was too much trouble. Tamsin arranged our car hire in advance of our trip and gave us some excellent advice on places to visit which were of interest to us personally. She even booked us into our preferred apartment. There was someone there to greet us when we arrived in the evening when reception isn't normally open that late - a lovely gesture after we had been travelling all day. The maids were as super as ever, they knew we liked to sleep in and tried their best to clean our room last so we weren't disturbed. The Security Guard was very pleased to see us and it is so reassuring to have him there. It was good to see that the Grapevine Restaurant adjacent to the apartments has re-opened, we had a set meal there of 3 courses plus a drink for 7.50 euros per head and it was excellent. They don't speak very good English so you'll need to be patient with them! I would not recommend the Mucky Duck next door, there are far better places on the strip only a short walk from the complex where you will have a far warmer welcome and are better value for money. Cafe La Ola has re-opened and is not to be missed plus there are a few new restaurants and shops along the strip.
I agree with another reviewer, the San Francisco Park is a hidden gem and I hope it isn't fully booked the next time we want to stay there.
PS We are a fun loving couple in our early 40's who like to party and stay out late but respect our fellow holiday makers and are grateful for the peace and calm of the complex.

Room Tip: Rooms on the first floor have more privacy.

“Great place,great value, great location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 January 2012

Excellent complex, quiet day and night, totally relaxing and great value for money. We stayed in other places and couldnt get asleep at night with people shouting as they arrived back, This place should be kept a secret as it will be full all the time if everyone knows about it and I might not get a booking. Studio apts are small everywhere , not just here, I ll be back and would recomend it to everyone

“please read a very honest report.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 January 2012

we stayed at this apartment from 29th dec to 5th January . we were aware that this apartment was a low star (3) booking with hotels4u, but expected more than this. on arrival to our room and opening the patio door the stench from the room was unbelievable and the room was very small. however the main room was clean. we would of left and tried to get another room else were but knew as it was the new year week this would be very difficult so tried to make the best of a bad situation. the bathroom consisted of a very small room and small quarter sized bath which much previously had a whole and been repaired to a very low standard. the shower was either very cold or boiling hot. plus we only had hot water for 7-10 mins at a time then had to wait approx 20min till it heated up again for myself or my partner to have a shower. when we complained about this we were told it was due to the fact the water came from the ocean? and that it normal takes 10 mins to heat up again however this was not the case. the rooms must of been paper thin as we could hear our neighbours above below and to both sides to us talking and could hear all their conversations, coughing sneezing and also unfortunitly when they went to the toilet which was not very plesent at all. The bad stench would come and go everyday and we must of used 2-3 cans of deodorant to try and eliminate the smell.
we were also aware that the apartments were adults only and quite liked the idea although nobody at all seamed to talk to each other next to the pool and when they did they were whispering and talking very quite which did not give a holiday feel at all. when they was a noise from the cleaners or people walking into the complex with suitcases on wheels people seamed and looked shocked that they was noise/sound in the area. we spoke to a few other couples when we were their and they all said that it was uncomfortable as everyone had to keep the noise to a minimum and some aspects ruined the holiday. they is residents that stay or live in the complex and aware that the complex liked you to respect that but surely people should be able to feel that they are able to laugh and enjoy themselves by the pool side or on their patio which we all felt like we could not. The complex was full their was a deadly silence morning, evening and night.
they is also no bar etc on the complex but their is a bar a few minutes away. the reception is open for a few hours a day and the staff to be fair were very plesent.
on a plus the apartments are in a great location to the main strip filled with lots of nice restaurants and bars we had a fantastic time in lPuerto Del Carmen and will return the same time next time however we would never return to this complex..
