“Colony Bay 113 What a Dump”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 March 2011

Can not say how run down apartment 113 Colony Club was, upstairs although the floors were clean, the dishwasher and oven were disgusting, I won't even explain how bad the pots and dishes were. The beds and bedding were clean but downstairs with no windows and a dead palm tree in the middle not a good sign. The bathrooms were horrible mouldy and rusty. In fact we cut our loses and moved to another apartment. Would not recommend this apartment to anyone. Needs totally revamped. Complete Dump

“Think again!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 January 2010

The Colony Club in Lanzarote is a mainly residential complex. It is slightly tired and if you are booking any appartment starting with one care has to be taken as the view is blocked by a hotel/office/shopping building complex. To get any view one needs to be on the east side of the main steps.

There is no one around most of the time so the place is more or less deserted.

The appartments have a glass roof, which acts a bit like an oven when the sun is out and really steep stairs down to the bedrooms which are underground with no windows. These appartments are totally unsuitable for children and to be honest there are so many better appartments on offer in beautifully kept complexes I can see absolutely no reason to go to the Colony Club except if you are living in Lanzarote and are offered an appartment at a very cheap rent.

“Ok - but not great!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 May 2009

We also stayed in appt 313 Colony Club, I was quite disappointed by the condition of the appartment. Definately not suitable for a family with young children. Stairs are very steep. The glass roof and patio doors were well past their sell by date. The appartment was adaquately decorated, but could certainly do with an up-grade. We also had a problem with ants - they were everywhere! Wouldn't book this particular appt again, but love lanzarote! Great restaurants & the people are so friendly.

“Top Class”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 February 2007

Reviewer: Family from Dublin, Ireland

We spent the first two weeks of February in Apt 313 Colony Club and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. As we have two small kids we were initially nervous about the stairs but both we and kids overcame this. Despite earlier comments this Apt is very clean and serviced regularly and efficently by a very good management company and cleaner. Extremely spacious, bright and very generously furnished and fitted. It was a pleasure to cook and eat in a few nights. Wash-machine, TV, DVD player & CD player certainly a big bonus especially to a family. Complex, pool area(older sun-loungers ok) is quite & cleaned daily. Prime location to both beach and Oldtown. Only criticism was the pre-arranged taxi from airport works out much more expensive than normal taxi but hey this doesn't tip the scales!! We have no hesitation recommending this complex and especially Apt 313.

“Wonderful week / David - Liverpool”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 February 2007

My family, 2adults and two girls aged 14 & 18 have just returned from a wonderful week in Lanzarote staying at the Colony Club, apartment No.110. The apartment was very clean when we arrived, everything we could have wished for was there, including clean bedding & towels changed midweek, decoration was fine and as the owners agree the kitchen may need some updating soon, but everything was in working order. TV including limited Sky channels, video & DVD player were all available. The swimming pool was available and was being used by some visitors but we preferred the beach. Location was superb, only a couple of minutes walk to the Playa Blanca beach. Overall highly recommendable
