“Good Value For Money.”

Chose these apartments based on other reviews on tripadvisor and was not disappointed. We had the apartment next to the bar area but had no issues with noise or anything and it was ideal for hopping over the low wall of our huge sun terrace to get to the pool which is heated though a bit on the small side for my liking. There were plenty of loungers and space to put them. Very clean and well maintained pool area.
Our apartment was roomy and clean with the towels being changed every other day. The biggest problem is the water is not the cleanest and you may well come out of the shower or bath dirtier than when you went in. Mossies were a bit of a problem for my partner so it was a case of swatting several before bed each night so apologies for the next guests for the blood stains on the walls. I just hope the maintenance man went in with his pot of white paint.
While we were there the majority of people were Brits and Irish and I'm happy to say that for the most part quietly well behaved. It is a nice quiet location but close enough for eating out and with plenty of supermarkets within easy reach. The buses are within easy reach and quite regular. We went to Arricife one day but there is not much there as regards tourist orientated bars/shops etc. Much better to take the bus to Costa Blanca.
Though these apartments are in a quiet location it is not too far to walk to get to the nightlife if that is what you desire. This is also true for the beach. It is well located to the footpath to Puerto Caleta which is a nice easy walk and picturesque developement.
There are cats about and guests are asked not to feed them but we had a black cat that we were fond of and we fed it well so it became very friendly. If we could have smuggled it home we would have. We also had two others that we fed and watered. On the whole they are very nervous so badly treated I think.
Anyway, in our opinion we think we chose well and we had a nice week in the sun in a pleasant location and will likely return.

“Great value”

Have stayed here many times in the past in different rooms, this time in room 302 with fantastic views out to sea. The staff are exceptional as always.
Was dissapointed to find no wireless internet connection as i needed to work. however there are pay as you go internet terminals.
The rooms are in need of decoration and the kitchen utensils were just adequate (no large mugs, tin opener, or cleaning materials) Noticed a few cockroaches, so make sure you leave no food and wash up thoroughly after every meal !
I could'nt really fault the value for money ! Outstanding !

“Great for the price”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 January 2011

Reality check - this is a two star apartment complex. We booked a very cheap holiday for 8th January for a week knowing we weren't going to the Ritz. Yes, the water did run brown sometimes in the bathroom. The living room was very spacious and the bedroom a decent size. We had maid service every other day, the beds were made but the floor was pretty dusty throughout. All the furniture creaked and groaned and was cheap and cheerful. There was a large balcony with lovely views down to the sea. We were on 2nd floor, the same as the pool bar, so not far to travel there! The pool bar area also had stunning views, the warmest pool I've ever been to in Lanza, with music playing to an acceptable decibel and content level. You could escape the music by going to the far side of the pool, but we found it didn't intrude sufficiently to warrant this. However, a word of warning - I stepped out of the pool and slipped on the tiles landing with full force on my elbow, which is now multi-coloured. Luckily, I escaped serious injury, but this safety issue should be addressed. We tried a couple of snacks from the bar - these weren't up to scratch, but we saw others tucking into breakfasts happily. Overall, we would happily return to these apartments for the price secured previously, as the people running the complex were absolutely charming and for a week's rest and recuperation in the sun we were happy to compromise.

“Tired rooms, but great pool area and friendly staff”

I would have to agree with the other two recent reviews. We stayed from Christmas Eve for two weeks at the Los Pueblos. The apartments are situated right at the top of the hill and are probably the further apartments away from the harbour in the old town. Because of that they have fantastic views over the sea and the harbour. We had an amazing view of the fireworks on New Years Eve. We stayed in apartment 207 which is on the ground floor near the pool which was great as you could just hop over the wall to the pool or bar. The apartments are in desperate need of refurb but as the complex is apparantly for sale, then its unlikely anything will be done anytime soon. The living space and kitchen is ok, nice and bright area however the kitchen has two rings for cooking, a few plates and glasses and cutlery and nothing else. We had to buy soap, dish towels, dishcloth etc etc. There is also no TV so if you want one it costs 24Euro per week. The Safe deposit box is the same. It does add a bit of cost to an otherwise cheap break. The bedroom was dark and airless as the window backs onto a corridor inside. We were also plagued with mosquito bites from that room. The beds were really uncomfortable and the bedding old. Didn't sleep well here. The bathroom is again tired with stains on the shower curtain and cracked tiles.

The complex has a lovely pool area with plenty of loungers and no problems with grabbing one even late in the day. The pool bar is great, Melina and Vanya who work there are so helpful and the food is really pretty good. Its a great place to go for a drink before heading out for dinner, and for meeting other guests.

Overall I would not go back here for a two week break just because of the beds being so uncomfy but I'd recommend it for a cheap week in the sun. For anyone visiting I would recommend asking for one of the rooms on the first floor over looking the pool (301-310) as those had fabulous views, were much airier and had no mozzie problems.

We went to some lovely restaurants over the two weeks. I would recommend Bodega, Bodecos and Cafe Mardeleva in particular.
