Excellent breakfast. Perfect location; very close to restaurants, shops, and bars. The hotel has its own private beach and it also provides access to the main beach in Puerto del Carmen. The hotel staff was very friendly. The rooms are comfortable and with a gorgeous view to the beach. I was part of a group of 4 families and everyone in the group really enjoyed the hotel. The furniture and decoration is a little dated, but it really doesn't matter because the service, location, and facilities are excellent. Whenever I return to Lanzarote, Los Fariones Hotel will be my first choice.

excellent location,excellant breakfast buffet, buffet in evening not so great but you care beside both the new and old town. Old town around the port has gorgeous restaurants

We are a couple in our mid 50's who recently stayed at the Fariones our first stay at the hotel was over 20 years ago and we recently returned to find as we remembered a hotel that enjoys a great location with a little semi private beach but everything else hadn’t changed with the times and was still the same as it was in the 1980s
On arrival we found our room had No air conditioning (a junior suite) but it did have a small fan.
No beverage tray so I went to reception asking for Tea making facilities and could we have some beach towels.
Yes was the reply they would put everything we needed for some tea in our room but they were very sorry we couldn’t have any the beach towels as they hadn't arrived back from the laundry after asking for 3 days we finally got some towels as for the tea on our arrival back to our room that night we found a Kettle and nothing else.
A shower which ran hot & cold
I changed to go for dinner in black tailored shorts only to be told at the restaurant no shorts for men ok for ladies but not men so beware long trousers for dinner although this was not stated by my tour operator or the hotel website and beside I spend all my working day in formal dress when on HOLIDAY I want to relax why do they not adopt a smart but casual dress code
Pillows were the cheapest hardest foam
The breakfast was buffet style including the coffee and it was ok, but for a supposedly four star hotel lacked selection and imagination, for example the omelet station offered ham, cheese or onion
Would I stay there again don't know, yes great location for Puerto Del Carmen with a quiet beach and the hotel was clean but the rest is not 4 star can't comment on the restaurant food as we never ate there and going by the breakfasts why would you eat uninspiring food at the hotel, when there is such a wide choice of very good restaurants, all within walking distance
So in summing up we would go along with another recent revue using the words “Faded Glory”
Come on Fariones it's time for a makeover it's now 2012!

This was our 9th visit to this lovely hotel which ticks all the boxes . We will be returning in 2012. That speaks for itself.
