Was pleasantly surprised with this, more than adequate, 'Travelodge-type' Hotel (especially as one review said 'lamentable'! Chose it for position near to son's Uni accomodation and ease of parking, which can be a problem with the more central Grenoble Hotels. Room was spacious, clean and in reasonable repair. Room cleaned and towels changed daily. TV (French only), Tea & Coffee facilities, hairdryer, room and bathroom heaters. Only 2 clothes hangers on short rail (no wardrobe) but not a problem for short stay (we were here 3 nights). Secure car parking (locked at night) and plenty of spaces. Located on busy road in residential location but good sound insulation and shutters on windows meant we had trouble waking rather than sleeping! Attractive, small garden area with tables and chairs - very well maintained. Breakfast - adequate, normal, self-service continental fare - no hot food but cereals, fresh baguettes/croissants, jams, (packet) cheese and ham, fruit, yoghurts, fruit juices. Didn't eat in restaurant but limited menu available in evening so useful to have available if you don't want to go out in the evening. Need a car as nothing else in area but about 10 mins easy drive to City Centre and think trams/buses available nearby. Slight worry was that, despite booking and paying ahead with Expedia, the hotel had no record of our booking but luckily, they were able to fit us in! Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Got good discount booking ahead so very good value for money and would be happy to use again. Good for a stop-off point if touring or ‘en-route’.
