This place is a no-frills motel, set in a retail park with other similar motels.
When we arrived, around 10pm, the reception had already closed, so we were left to our own devices. We had prebooked, and prepaid for our room. However, the machine wanted to charge us again, and as there was nobody around, we had no choice but to repay. In the morning, when reception was open, we had to fill in a form to be reimbursed, which can take about two weeks apparently. After we entered our details on the machine, it seemed to break down for about 5 minutes, before coming back to life and issuing us with a room key. Until then I had visions of us having to sleep in the car!
The room itself has to be the most depressing space I have ever been. It feels like a prison cell (not that I have experience of prison cells!). It was a very small room, which I don't necessarily mind, very dimly lit, and with a third bed just above our double bed, which added to the cramped effect. The toilet/shower room was tiny, barely enough room to maneuverer. It was furnished with very cheap plastic materials, which made it resemble a public toilet you'd find in a town centre.
To be fair, I slept quite well, but I was quite tried after having driven from England. I didn't have the breakfast in the morning because it didn't look very nice. I wouldn't recommend staying here, even if you're desperate!
