this hotel is located next to cadbury has excellent facility like swimming pool , gym,
friendly rooom service people .Food is good , the complementary breakfast is also great. overall a great stay for business travellers.

IF you are on an extended stay for business in Thane, beware this hotel & the good reviews.

The Positives:
Nice desk staff.
Decent water pressure for the toilets and shower.
Nice selection of soaps.
Powerful air con in rooms.

The Negatives:
The room service kitchen is sporadically open.
Room service comes 20-30 minutes after calling for a cold sandwich.
Napkins and utensils need to be specifically ordered or you have to wait 20 minutes for them to come back with them.
The bed linens look very used.
The bed is hard.
The rooms are dusty and mildew on the tiles.
Lots of technical glitches with the internet; the connection always gets reset.
You have to beg for an iron and ironing board.
Laundry service sews tags into your clothes.
Sound proofing in the hotel is non existent; expect to hear the throbbing bass and din of every part and wedding thrown at the hotel.
The neighborhood in walking distance of the hotel is downright dirty and depressing in its bleakness.
The pool was dirty and no one went in it except for birds.
The fitness center did not have the proper chair for the weight machine. Everything seemed dirty, bring anti-septic wipes.

IF my business colleagues did not pay for this hotel, I would find another place to stay.

the buffet spread was very balanced and met our requirements. the room service was effecient. rates seemed to be reasonable. accessibility of the location was good. the gym and the pool was kept neat and clean. would like to visit again

In the month of February 2010, I along with my colleagues were on business trip to India for around 10 days and stayed in various hotels in Kolkata, Thane and Mumbai. After our Kolkata trip we moved to Thane where our stay was booked in Satkar Residency. The hotel is conveniently located in Thane, though far away from Mumbai but doesn’t take much time to move there. Among the hotels located in Thane, the Satkar Residency is considered as the best hotel.

On arrival, we were disappointed when we found no one to pick our luggage. However, after requesting to the Front Desk a porter was arranged.

After completing the check-in formalities when we entered our room, we were pleased to see the room décor and size – a big bedroom with lavish bathroom. The lobby was small but well decorated. The buffet breakfast in the hotel was good. Though not wide selection but a good number of items ideal for morning breakfast were there. The Restaurant on the second floor is quite good with all cuisines; food was good and also priced reasonably. One appreciable thing was the WiFi Internet was complementary. The service staffs were polite and helpful all through. I had a problem in installing the WiFi connectivity in my laptop, the concerned staff patiently handled and solved in after several trials.

Though away from Mumbai but still Thane has lot of malls, restaurants and modern civic facilities. We saw a good number of Local shopping malls and outlets at a moderate distance from the hotel.

We stayed here 2 nights and checked out with an overall good impression.
