Comfortable enough hotel. The room was standard fare for a chain hotel such as this. Odd that the coffee making facilities are based in the bathroom as opposed to the main bedroom itself. Breakfast was not very appealing, and choice is meagre. It's a no-fuss hotel that's adequate when you're just passing through.

I stayed here for a few nights for a business trip. The customer service was fine I suppose. I had to wait at the front desk for nearly 5 minutes for assistance. I'm not sure where the hotel staff had disappeared to. The rooms are relatively clean and relatively new. There's nothing special about this hotel. It's simply a place to sleep.

I stayed at the best western with my mom, niece and nephew, and we were happy to find the hotel as clean and new-looking as it was when it opened. The room was comfortable with good temperature control and amenities, and the hotel overall was very quiet and relaxing. We used the pool, which we had all to ourselves, and the pool area was clean and safe, with the pool a good temperature. While we were there, we noticed that we saw a maintenance person a few times during our stay and that person is clearly doing a great job of keeping things in good working order. We had a small fridge in our room which was a plus since we kept juice, milk, and snacks for the kids, and fruit and drinks for us as well. The front desk staff were consistently there whenever we walked by and were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast featured a good selection of cereals, yogurt, hard-boiled eggs, oatmeal, breakfast sandwiches, toast and bagels, with lots of drink selection. The breakfast room staff were really friendly and made sure everything was well-stocked and clean. The breakfast room has a great view and the ONLY reason I didn't give this a 'five on five' rating is because the breakfast room is FREEZING, unlike the rest of the hotel which is a good temperature. But hey, bring a sweater and you'll have a great stay!

This hotel is by far the best in Sioux Lookout. Though you may expect to pay a price premium it is well worth it. I stayed at the hotel for several weeks while working with MNR fire crews.
The service is above excellent. From the front desk staff to the cleaning/housekeeping staff to the gentleman who attends the breakfast room daily, these employees are well-trained and clearly understand the merits of customer service.
The hotel itself is spotlessly clean. The rooms are very nice, (especially the Temperpedic mattresses!) and fridges seem to be in all rooms. The lobby microwave and free coffee was always appreciated.
There is a well-equipped gym open 24 hours and a pool/steam shower/sauna that is open until 10pm. I wish the pool stayed open until 11pm but we can't have everything!
As is mentioned in other reviews, there is no restaurant onsite. However, guests can enjoy a pretty good selection of breakfast items from 6am-10pm everyday and numerous restaurants are close by.
I wish more hotels (especially those in smaller northwestern Ontario centres) would follow the lead of the Best Western Sioux Lookout Inn. Thanks so much for your hospitality!
