We have stayed in super 8 motels before, and that's why we had vowed never to stay in one again, but when my husband got a job in ponoka - super 8 was the hotel they put him up in.

Surprisingly it was pretty good! His room was clean, and I know clean after working in the hospital and hotel industry for a long time.

The staff are very friendly.

The gym is clean and useful (just needs an exercise ball!)

There is a coin laundry.

The breakfast is amazing and he looks forward to it every morning. Coffee, tea, waffles, muffins, toast, cereal, bagels, yogurt, fruit, juice, on and on it goes. He's a vegetarian so it works out very well for him. But I think there are eggs and french toast as well.

There is an A&W attached to the hotel and I think it opens at 6am and closes at either 8pm or 9pm. It doesn't matter because there are tons of places to eat in a short driving distance, as well as the extra foods.

His room has a fridge, stove, microwave and sink - plus dishes It's all a guy needs to feel fed and satisfied!

The bottom rooms have doors that lead directly outside. This is good for pets - which can stay for a $15 fee. (We have two)

All in all this is a really good motel and gives super 8 a good name again. At least in ponoka!

We stayed here during a brutal early-winter storm and had a great time. The pool and waterslide was fun for the kids. The best thing about our stay was the level of service. The staff understood and accommodated our needs and requests. Great breakfast, clean, comfortable beds. Definitely not your "standard" Super 8!

This is a very nice hotel. I highly recommend it. All of the staff were very friendly and very helpful. The SuperStart breakfast that was included was great. It consisted of coffee, tea, fruit, bagels, french toast, hard boiled eggs, toast, muffins, and waffles you cook yourself in an waffle iron. The rooms were very spacious each with a fridge and microwave. We had the pool, hot tub and waterslide all to ourselves (although the pool water was a little on the cool side). I would most certainly stay here again.

I tottaly agree with the reviewers below. This is a absolutly beautiful place, complete with Free Popcorn, any time you want...great for a bedtime snack!

The Lobby is very warm and welcoming with a fireplace, and a breakfast room off to the left. The Manager is very friendly, and does everything she can to make you comfortable. The other staff that checked us in was a little Rude, but nothing compared to what I have dealt with in the past.

The rooms are very clean and well decorated, the whole place is decorated in very beautiful, warm Decor...which as the last reviewer said, is Uncommon for a Super 8 or any hotel in it's class.

The waterslide was really enjoyable, it was quite the ride. Wonderful for kids!!!! There was also a business centre, which was great for checking E-mails and such. And there was an excersize room which was wonderful!!!!!!!

Overall, I would recommend this to anyone in search for a clean, comfortable, NICE, motel, at a great price!!!
