We stayed at the Hilton Rose Hall and this course is right on the property. You can walk from the hotel or they take you in a golf cart. Nice and modern pro shop. Driving range. You will be assigned a walk along caddie and they are fantastic. The front nine has some elevation and three holes run near the resort and on the ocean. Several holes run near historic elements such the the cemetery in the James Bond movie Live and Let Die (4th) and the old sugar cane mill (7th). The back nine runs up into the mountain and has dramatic elevation changes. Many of the holes give you a dramatic view of the ocean. The back nine is really fun and challenging as there are several holes that have risk/reward shots.
I would recommend golfing after 1:30 as the rates go down significantly. I guess they do this because at somes times of year its much hotter in the afternoon but I did not find that to be the case in March. The caddie they gave us was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and above all knew all the right shots and putts...very helpful!
