Me and my husband stayed there with our one year old baby after the Carnival hollidays (that means quiet period) and the hotel is simply great. Perfect location (in front of the beach and a few meters of the village), tasty and home taste food (the breakfast in unforgetable). The swimming pool is just in front of the rooms (try to get it in the evening looking at the sky...). Decoration is simple but with taste. Perfect for families with small children or a honeymoon. Quiet and specially clean.

Basic, but very peaceful, with stunning ocean views. If you want a quiet retreat, this place is (currently) ideal. There is nothing like starting the day witha walk along a destered golden beach. Our beach front bungalow was large, clean but rustic in feel. Don't expect five star glamour, but if you want charm and authenticity you won't leave dissapointed. This place has oodles of character. However, a big hotel was in the process of being built next door during our visit, which may ruin the tranquility when it opens, and leave two polar opposites door by door.

The turtle santury was virtually next door, but we were lucky to see one in the wild just a few metres off the shore - a real treat!

We are married couple 46-35 yo.The pousada was perfect during the first 4 days, clean, quiet and great location. Large room, excelent bed, etc... and a real good net on the balcony. We arrived on a Monday and there were around 5 or 6 couples,no kids, perfect for us too;

Our dissapointment arriving the friday...when the pousada was completely taken by various families with kids. The pool at that time was no longer available, since it is a small one with no special and separate place for kids... and became a noisy place.

I think that the property has a wrong strategy, since the pousada is perfect for couples without kids. There are also 5 cottages, that would be appropriate for a honey moon trip.

We loved the first 4 days anyway.

Great accommodation, great location!

We stayed at the “Pousada Farol das Tartarugas” at the beginning of april/2008 for ten wonderful days. The rooms are very spacious and clean, with good air conditioning and mini bar. The bathroom is very simple, but also clean. The accommodation has a tropical touch with lots of wood, and a balcony with a hammock . The breakfast is nice, up to good Brazilian standards, which means lots of food: nice bread, juices, cakes, fruits, jam, cheese and every day there was a different local speciality.
The location is just perfect: five minutes walking from the busy village with all the shops and restaurants, but still far enough to be quiet and peaceful. The pool is not too big, but who needs it with natural swimming pools full of lovely fish just ten minutes walk along a beautiful beach with palm trees as far as the eyes can see?
The only down side was the staff, they where not the most friendly and helpful I ever met, unfortunately. But it did not disturb our holidays, we had a great time !
