The pousada is in a perfect location, next to the beach, and close to the village centre. The pool is great, and the rooms very well maintained. We stayed in a room for a night, and then in a villa, both were nice. Food was good. I am not sure it was great value for money though, the rooms were quite pricey (but we went over Easter...). Great for families and others alike.
Bit of a challenge to communicate in English/Spanish, but we managed and improved our Portuguese!

Excellent location (beach front) nice pool and wonderfull staff. Walking distance from "centro" and all the restarantes and small shops. Would definettly come back again. Chale da Torre is wonderfull!

My family and I stayed at this hotel in March this year. We enjoyed the hotel and Praia do Forte Beach, with it's very charming fishing village. We recommend the hotel not only for couples but for families with children (there are cots and highchairs for infants). Clean and spacious rooms, excellent service, fabulous location (facing the sea), near the town, yet quiet and calm. The beach, at low tide, has numerous natural pools with warm water. It was a simply wonderful experience.

Me and my husband stayed there with our one year old baby after the Carnival hollidays (that means quiet period) and the hotel is simply great. Perfect location (in front of the beach and a few meters of the village), tasty and home taste food (the breakfast in unforgetable). The swimming pool is just in front of the rooms (try to get it in the evening looking at the sky...). Decoration is simple but with taste. Perfect for families with small children or a honeymoon. Quiet and specially clean.
