We took a friend here to celebrate his 40h birthday and got a table near the front of the restaurant.
Our initial order (caparinhas and bolo do peixe) were slow coming, so we decided to order our mains ( salada alaska and picadinho).
40 minutes later, having eaten the starter, we were still waiting. We asked a waiter who said that it would be just 5 more minutes. We waited 15 more and realised that hey had completely forgotten . The manager came over and rather than try to solve the problem wanted to talk to us about who we thought had caused the problem. He was basically passing the problem back on to us, a classic sign of poor management.
We told him that it was our friend's birthday, but he basically couldn't have cared less. You would have expected and apology and excellent service from then on, but the beef arrived minus the banana and the coke we ordered was wrong.
The bill came, which was wrong, but of course included their service!
After trying to talk to the waiter again, we asked for the manager who was busy eating ice cream and relaxing at the next cafe(!). He was insistent that we should pay for everything, did not have an ounce of education to apologise for the terrible service and was not in the slightest bit bothered when we said we wouldn't be returning and that we were leaving hungry!
If you are happy with bad service and arrogance, this is your place. We won't be returning.
