My experience of The Ocanic hotel which i was visited 1st week of April 2007 was incredibly poor. The website boasts of access to 'fantastic diving and snorkeling' - it fails to mention the filthy big port on the horizon which I can only guess is partially if not totally responsible for the dirty, silty sea which was also afloat with rubbish and debri (cans, packets of crisps, sanitary wear). The hotel itself is a throwback from the 1970's. We were handed stained, completely threadbare 'beach towels' as we headed to the beach. The piped music into what looked like a Faulty Towers scene in the buffet restaurant was familiar - I then worked out it was pan pipes sound of music! Horrendous! to add insult to injury we received a phonecall on the morning we were due to arrive from the manager of the hotel informing us we were entitled to a discount but when we checked out (2 hours after arriving - it was that bad!) they had no record of the phone message and therefore charged us the entire rate even though we bitterly complained! never ever visit this hotel!
