I have had a chance to stay at the Oceanic Hotel a few times and I have been honestly very
satisfied every time.

I've stayed in some questionable places, but this was by far the worst. It was filthy. We just about managed to sit on the sofa in our room (dubiously perched would be a better description). Damp on the walls, furnishings that haven't been cleaned or updated since god knows when, full of sand and sweat of previous guests. We managed to stay for 30 mins before we couldn't cope any more and left (the first time I have walked out of anywahere), as the thought of sleeping in the bed was just too much.

Spent a couple of nights here. We were on a diving trip and needed some where close to the wharf.

The hotel building is old, really old but nicely renovated. You can expect the same standards in terms of service and quality from other newer 5 star hotels.

This hotel was the filthiest hotel I've ever stayed in. Our water in the bathroom was yellow and stunk so bad that we had to use the bathroom of the next room, and they didn't even offer an upgrade in rooms!!!! The pool was ok but the beach was terrible and sand was unclean. Staff were ok but they seemed like they didn't know much, and some didn't even speak english which I found quite irritating as the hotel is quite far from civilization! I've travelled a lot and I've stayed in 3* hotels that are so much better than this one!!!
