“Family run Turkish boutique hotel - couldn't have asked for more”

Having never been to Turkey before, we didn't know what to expect but in short, it was perfect. Beydagi Konak means 'mountain house' in Turkish and it was exactly that. It was a fantastic little sun spot overlooked by gorgeous mountains. The couple who run the hotel are the nicest couple ever and could not have made us feel more at home. The rooms were comfortable and clean, with good shower facilities and the breakfast every day was delicious! The poolside is really relaxing surrounded by beautiful flowers and plants which make you feel like you're in more tropical surroundings. We spent many a happy afternoon lazing there with an Efes (Turkish beer) and snacks after mornings spend exploring or walking. Goynuk itself is small but friendly and the hotel has perfect access to Canyon where you can enjoy an idyllic mountain walk for a few hours. It's easy as well to hire a car and venture along the coast roads. We did that for a few days and visited some historical ruins, saw the sites in Demre - and (my favourite) visited Cirali - the fire mountain. For food, we ate out every night and enjoyed the local food. I'd recommend going to smaller places as the service and quality is better. Generally the food and drink is really good value - just avoid Kebabi Aspava in Goynuk and Aspava Kemer - they are overpriced!
Overall, we spent ten days enjoying this fantastic new place. - high recommended!!

Small, quaint hotel with lush green poolside atmoshere in Goynuk village. Mountains above and one km walk to the sea. Gorgeous canyon nearby, five minutes by taxi. A three minute walk to bus stop for cities, villages, ruins along the coast; excellent bus service. Fifteen minutes to Kemer with excellent shopping, seaside parks yachting bay with superb seaside restaurants and beaches. Usually 60 euros one way from Antalya, the bus is about 6 turkish lira, just a couple of euros, well worh it!

“Affordable Boutique Hotel !”

We will never forget the days spent there because it is really a place where you can feel like in a paradise , a very warm family and their excellent hosting will stay in our memory forever.. I always have in my mind that nice swimming pool with so nice music and lights…We really felt good there even we didn’t want to leave..thanks a lot to konak beydagi for my nice memories…

Besides; it is located in a very nice region : beach is at 800m but much more beautiful beaches like Olympos and phaeselis are reachable in 15-20min by minibus which goes there every 20 min.

As this hotel is held by a turkish family, it changes everything and they provide you good pieces of advises for your visits and for turkish foods as well.

We really advises you it and especially it is not expensive / about 40 euros for a bedroom with 2 singles bed (what we took) and 60 euros for double bed room. All rooms have air-conditionning.

Other good point : the quarter is very calm.

We spent 6 nights here and had a wonderfully relaxing time. Hosts are extremely attentive and looked after us as they would one of the family. If returning to this area again we would return to this hotel.

“Terrific small hotel in Göynük”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 November 2008

My partner and I spent one night at the Beydagi Konak Hotel, which is actually located in a town called Göynük, about 40 km southwest from Antalya. This is an area thick with mega-resorts and all-inclusive holidaymakers, but the Beydagi Konak is not at all one of these. It's a small (15 room) family-run hotel, about 5 minutes away from the centre of town. The owners spoke no English (their son does, but he was away at the time) but as my partner had a little Turkish, we got by. The hotel itself has an almost Swiss atmosphere to it -- lots of woodwork and nice little decorating touches. The owners clearly take a lot of pride in their hotel and were the most gracious of hosts -- coming in their own car to fetch us from the town centre when we couldn't find the hotel (we didn't have a map) and guiding us to an excellent restaurant in the evening. The breakfast they provided was wonderful, one of the best we had during our entire 2-week trip, and served in the courtyard. We had a suite on the top floor. There was no TV in the room (not that we cared, but some might) and the shower is integrated with the bathroom, but the water was hot and plentiful and the room itself was very comfortable, with a large balcony. We had booked the room on booking.com and contrary to the information on that site, there is NO seaview -- the hotel is on the other side of the D400 highway, on the edge of town away from the water. This was not an issue for us, but if you really want beachfront you won't get it here. Göynük would be a convenient base to do day trips from if you have a car. The hotel featured a fairly large pool and garden area behind a stone wall; I'm sure in the warmer weather it would be quite lovely to lounge around in the evening while sipping a drink, but as this was late November we didn't do that. Also, if you're a light sleeper you might want to bring earplugs to combat the sound of the dogs and roosters in the vicinity. The hotel was spotlessly clean and well-kept, unlike some other places we stayed where the standards had clearly slipped a bit in the off-season.

  • Liked — Hospitality of the hosts.
  • Disliked — Barking dogs and crowing roosters.
