“Great holiday lovely hotel”

Mirage Park

We stayed at Mirage Park for 2 weeks at the end of August, 2 adults and 2 sixteen year old girls. We were a bit worried because of negative reviews but to be honest the hotel, staff, entertainment, food etc was fantastic. we were given the wrong room when we arrived but they changed us over the next day which was a fab room looking over the whole hotel grounds.  Two of us did get a sickness bug for 24 hours. The pools were lovely, our girls loved the slides, you didn't have to get up too early to get a sunbed, the snack bar was great at lunchtime, also the German beer garden served great chicken.  The animation team were brilliant, there was always something to join in with, one day they had a total wipeout type inflatable another day they did the Olympics!  They played music all day by one pool and if I had to have any negative it would be that the music contained swearing.
The Buffet restaurant was quite often a bit of a nightmare in the evenings, far too big a hotel for one main restaurant, so too many people trying to get their food at same time, manic.  Food was very good loads to choose from, waiters and chefs really nice and helpful apart from extremely rude arrogant waiter called Serkat who reservered tables for big tip payers mainly  Russians he wasn't very pleasant,  however nearly all others very nice especially the ice cream man who looked after the fruit in the evening. Russians very greedy but just ignore them.
All in all a fantastic location, you didn't need to leave the hotel, the beach was just lovely, never been in sea so warm, loads of us sunbeds, great little beach bar (wonderful little bar tender every afternoon).
Great animation team, fab food during day, they even had the really nice chap who was the chef cooking BBQ fresh fish on the end of the pier twice when we were there. There was a cinema a couple of nights in the gardens, you could just lie on a sunbed and watch, even in english!  We were there when it was the Turkish national day and also a few days later it was Ramadan, it was amazing, red and white flags everywhere, the chef cooked a gigantic baked Alaska and walked around the restaurant with it and a traditional band playing.  The nightclub was great fun, went to a foam party which was an experience.
We asked our teenage daughters what they most liked about the holiday and they said they loved the pools, the slides, the activities that they had on, especially the bouncy castles, sumo wrestlers, team games in the pool!! They also loved the foam party, watersports and diving off the pier.
A'la Carte restaurants, the best one was the Turkish then Italian, the Latino one was a bit strange still had good food though, brilliant service in all of them.
Rambo the watersports leader was great fun, & would always do you a good deal, the rides were awesome. Banana Boats were great fun and paragliding amazing!! The slides in the pool were really fun, never much of a queue and open for ages so you can keep going up and down.
Helen, the Rep for Direct holidays was very helpful & knowledgable
The village is worth a visit all the shops sell genuine fakes! Good fun haggling
Excursion to Kemer for Turkish bath was brilliant - please go, but be wary as some people said they tried to cure all their ailments for a one off payment!
Would certainly recommend this hotel.

well where to start. it was the best holiday so far. plenty of things to do through out the day for adults aswell as children; these where things such as water polo, darts, beach ball, water sports. there was music played from different cultures which i felt was really good. food was varried loads; i mean there was more food for the russians as there is alot of russians go there which is understandable but they did cater for english to. the entertainment was off this earth on a night, and the animation team is the best you could and would ever meet. i really loved it. they are so friendly and kind and helpful. the greatest holiday ever.

“RUSSIAN OWNED - WHY ARE THE BRITS BEING SENT THERE?”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 November 2011

Arrived at this hotel and was given a card and told to take the lift to a room on second floor....on coming out of the lift we were shocked at the disgusting filthy carpet along the corridor (first time we saw the carpets). Entered the bedroom and the filthy carpet with blood stains around the bed greeted us - our nightmare started here! Refused to stay in the room and requested a second one - no better but by now it was very late into the early hours and we had to have some sleep - we laid the towels on the bed, did not unpack or take our travelling clothes off, and put the remaining towels over us for warmth. Next morning we went to Reception and again refused this room because of the filthy carpets and the dreadful paintwork. By this time my wife was retching and was physically sick - we had never been in a hotel with such badly stained and dirty filthy carpets.
Another room was allocated to us, a little better, but not a lot - you dare not put your feet on the carpet without shoes on!!
We requested a move to another hotel and in the month of October you would think there would be plenty of rooms - according to the Rep Paul there was only two hotels that could take us at an extra cost of £150-00!!! We had already paid in excess of £1500! There was no compassion from the Rep - he had had so many complaints from the Brits there that the filth in the corridors and bedrooms meant nothing to him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Consequently we stayed.........then the shock horror of Russians - I have nothing against any nationality but we are not used to people filling their plates sky high, eating like animals then leaving half of it. Also despite the notice that no food is to taken from the "restaurant" (more like a canteen), the Russians took plates, again sky high, full of fruit to their rooms - nobody stopped them. You would think that they had never had food before in their lives. It was repulsive the way they ate.
The food was not good - it was slushy - the best we had was roast chicken....even all the vegetables were mixed up and well over-cooked. The hotel definetely catered for people from the Eastern Bloc countries. We later found out that it was Russian owners and when the powers to be visited the staf and waiters had to stand to attention with a kind of fear in their eyes!!!
There are two bars in the evening for a hotel full of people and you had to queue to get a drink - the Russians resorted to bringing in thier own bottles of Vodka!
The beach is bad - no sand just big gravel stones but somehow this suited the Russians so the Brits luckily had the pool to themselves apart from the odd German and French family.
It cerainly was a holiday where you had to look where you walked and watched what you ate.
Did not think anything could get worse - WRONG! Walking back to our room my wife saw a little chubby girl with dark hard fiddling with the tops of her trousers or so she thought. On arrival at our room we opened the patio door and there on the tiles she had done her full business - we could not believe it!!!!!!!!!!!! On reflection she was pulling her trousers up!! We rang Reception three times before a cleaner came and removed it. We reported it to the Guest Relations lady which was a complete waste of time, all she did was smile and told us if we saw the girl do tell her and she would see the parents - we did!! What happend she smiled at us again, despite being able to speak English. We gave up!
Then on the last day but one somebody in Goynuk, which incidently is lovely, gave my wife a lollypop and not thinking she ate a chunk off it and left it wrapped up on the bedside cabinet. On our return to the room we could not believe our eyes, there were ants all over it, all over the bedsite cabinet and in the beds as the cabinet was right up close to the beds....this was the last straw!!! We could not wait to get out of the hotel and get home. Again the Rep Paul was not bothered! I would add that Goynuk and Kemer are lovely places to visit but DO NOT GO TO THIS HOTEL PLEASE - IT REALLY IS BAD.

Room Tip: Sorry can't give advice re a good room, they are disgusting!!!!

“Great outside not so good inside”

We visited this hotel mid October, on arrival we were greeted by a miserable looking chap at reception who gave us a card to complete with no formal greeting which was disappointing. When we arrived at our room we again were disappointed as the room was very small and only had two beds, i contacted recepotion to advise them of this and was informed a house keeper would come and bring extra beds for the two children. So we had four beds in a room which was very small and with no space between the beds.

The furniture throughout the hotel is very dated although everything was fairly clean. The outside gardens are excellent and very well kept, however attention could be given to the cleaning around the pool area as this seemed to be overlooked.

The food in general was good around the pool and resturant but with little variety. The la a carte restuartant was a joke, it was outdoors you could hardly see your food and it was very cold!

Overall I wouldnt go back and would not recommend, I have previously been to Belek on 3 occasions and stayed in diffrent hotels which are in a diffrent league to the Majesty and similiar in cost. Check out Club Voyage, Papillion Belvil and Rixos!!

Room Tip: If you are traveling as a family get a suite.

we arrived early hours of the morning found the reception staff to be unfriendly and spoke very little english, had to walk for about 10 minutes to get to room, woke up next morning to a beautiful sea view and the sunrise, went to breakfast and it was chaos, the russians have to be the rudest people i have ever come across they bump into you and push you and my daughter couldnt get served for them pushing in, 3rd day i started to feel ill and by the end of the week i was very poorly, on returning home went to the doctor and its been confirmed that i got food poisoning from the hotel, campylobactor enderitis, there is a doctor at the hotel but as the staff are so unapproachable unless you speak russian i felt too uncomfortable to report my illness. if you dont mind being pushed around by russians having the entertainment staff speak in russian without translating and the bar staff chucking the drinks at you and aww yes your plates being cleared before youve finished then this is the hotel for you!!!

Room Tip: get a seaview
