“Fantastic location, staff couldn't be mote helpful. Wonderful time!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 February 2011

We stayed here a couple of weeks ago and had an awesome time. The hotel was close to the slopes and also to the shops. The hotel itself was brilliant facilities were as you'd expect from a 4 star hotel, pool was massive and quiet though there wasn't a shallow end for the kids. The food was lovely most nights a buffet with lots of choices and some nights set menu, but they cooked separately for the kids. As I say the staff couldn't be more helpful.

“Excellent location - old, worn and not very clean rooms”

The location in Beitostølen is excellent. A brilliant place for both crosscontry skiing and alpine activities.
The pool is large (25 meters) and nice, and there is a tiny baby pool. Unfortunately the large pool is deep all over, so children will need help there.
The gym is good, but even hotelguests have to pay to use it (but only 40 kroners each time).
The restaurant is mediocre and overpriced (400 kroners for a ordinary buffet), but there are lot of other places to eat in Beitostølen.
Our room was old and worn, and the cleaning was not good enough. Dust on shelves and old garbage under the bed.
We only got two teabags for our whole stay (3 days). Not a big thing, but a hotel in this segment should have better service.
The free internet service was incredibly slow.

“Excellent stay in Beitostlolen”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 January 2009

When you come in, the hotel has a bit gloomy look, with a lot of brown colours. Once you get over that, the rooms are just fine, wiith double doors and the 4th floor has great views. Breakfast and dinner are both first rate and there is coffe and tea most of the day, free of charge. Friendly staff. The location is just ocross the slopes, great for ski vacations.

“Perfect for Novice Skiers”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 April 2007

The hotel is only around 45 minutes from Fagernes airport and the views on the
way are great.

The hotel is very comfortable but a little worn around the edges and could do
with a bit of a make over. But this is also part of the charm and gives this
very small and quiet resort a feeling that you are in a place that everyone has
forgotten about.

Staff were very friendly and always had time to stop and talk. The food was
very nice, if a little bland at times. We stayed in a week during a tournament
for disabled skiers who had the Kings Guard (army) to support and assist them.
The army chefs were drafted in to help with the large amount of people which the
hotel was finding hard to cope with, so it was buffet every day (which was
great).

The resort was still quiet with all the extra skiers (most were cross country),
so I can imagine having the slopes to yourself at other times.
