We are a family of four with two young kids (6 and 8). Our room was no. 3. As soon as I walked-in, I was greeted by the owner which was a super friendly lady. She gave us all sorts of information and was very welcoming. I believe the hotel has a private parking but we parked on a side street. I believe there's free Wi-Fi but no dedicated PC for customers. The bathroom in our room was huge and had hard-wood floor. The room faces the main street with a roundabout but at night, it was quiet. We stayed there so we could go see the Vitre Castle, Fougeres Castle and Mont Saint Michel (80KM). The Vitre Castel is a bit disappointing but the Fougeres Castle is very nice. Only thing is if you plan to visit with the audio guides, don't arrive too late as after 2 hours, we weren't done and they close at 6:00PM or 7:00PM and we didn't know. The cool thing is that they have audio guides for kids so it makes it interesting for them. Anyhow, hotel was a good place to stay and price was hard to beat.

We got to Vitré around 10pm, a busload of nine adults and small children. We had no plan and nowhere to sleep. The old lady running the place (the owner, i guess?) asked some other guests kindly to switch rooms to make place for us, as the whole city was completely booked.

The rooms have a distinct 70s feel. And it's no luxury hotel. But what it lacks in splendor, it compensates for in personal service and charm. The rooms were clean and tidy and the breakfast was better than the four star we had the next day. The manager came by and gave the kids small gifts.

The finale: We told we were going to Saint-Malo without booking. She was shocked, and made over 20 phone calls to get us a room. This was apparently the most packed weekend of the year.

The very nice proprietor of this hotel couldn't have been more helpful when we arrived with one of our bikes punctured, and helped us get it fixed the next day. Our room was spoteless and spacious and the breakfast copious and delicious. All in all a very comfortabvle stay in Vitre.

We had just an overnight stay while travelling from Le Mans and found the hotel conveniently located and the owner was very helpful. The price was good and I would stay there again. I would choose it just for 1-2 nights sd we did not plan to stay in our room for any length of time but it was perfectlly adequate.
