“Great Price, Lovely Hotel, Delicious Food *****”

I absolutely loved my holiday at the Diana Palace in Argassi. My boyfriend and I went in Oct 2011 and even though it was near the end of season and lots of places were closed, we still enjoyed every minute.
The food was great, it's a buffet and always had a great mix of dishes. I can be quite fussy but I always had a full plate of food.
Our room was clean and tidy and had a balcony...that's all I wanted really. It was nice though, quite airy as well so we were never too hot.
Argassi itself is a nice little resort, there wasn't too much going on and I admit the beach is a bit of a let down but there are so many other nearby places you can go.
We went on a day trip around Zante and this included a boat trip to the Blue Caves, this was a holiday highlight, I loved it!
The bar Legends is definitely worth a visit, the cocktails are lethal, I'm glad it's a short walk back to the hotel!
I loved staying at the Diana Palace, if I ever return to Zante, I would definitely stay here again! The staff were all so friendly esp Bill the barman!
Thanks for a great holiday :-)

Hello Laur!

Thank you so much for spending some of your valuable time to add your review on Diana Palace hotel and of course for being so kind to mention our staff and pointing out their hard work and love on what they do. It will be my pleasure to pass Bill your positive comments. He will be very happy about that! During this winter he is practicing on throwing bottles in the air, as he will be doing live cocktail lessons to our guests during the summer. He is planning to be Tom Cruz!
We are glad to hear that you found some good place on the island to love. I must agree on Argassi beach that its is not very competitive with the other beaches in Zakynthos as i would call most of them paradise on earth. The good thing is that you can visit most places in just a few days by renting a car or a boat and i am sure that there are a lot more to see over here. So many hidden gems around. By the way, blue caves is on my top 5 list. I am glad you had the chance to visit them. I hope you did swim in the caves ( best experience ever! You wont believe in your eyes!).
I can spend hours talking about the island...! That was just a note on behalf of the staff and family to say thank you! We hope we will have the chance to see you again at Diana Palace and have a drink at Bill’s bar. Take care at home and stay safe!

“FANTASTIC”

This was the best family holiday we have had. We were a little miffed when we first got there at having to pay for the air conditioning but that soon was put to the back of our minds as the rest of the holiday made up for it. ALL the staff were fantastic, the bar staff and waiters were so friendly and polite, the food was excellent (huge compliments to the chefs) and we could not fault the hotel at all. The cleanliness was excellent also. ALL the staff work extremely hard and very long hours and despite this always remained friendly and polite. The entertainment was good although it was repeated the second week of our holiday but still that was fine. The children's pool was great and our daughter had lots of fun spending most of the holiday playing in the pool. We will definitely come back to the Diana Palace in the future as it was a very memorable holiday.

The hotel are lucky to have such an excellent group of staff such as the ones we had the pleasure to meet and who also helped to make our holiday so GREAT.

Would recommend this to any family planning a holiday to Argassi, the Diana Palace is definitely the place to be!!!!!

Hello Julie!

First of all I would like to thank you for taking the time to add your review on Diana Palace. The fact that you had wonderful holidays with us makes us smile and most of all make us feel really proud of all the staff at the hotel. Thank you for mentioning them and for expressing your positive comments on their work. They really enjoy what they do and this is always reflected by their smile and enthusiasm. So, a big thank you for spending the time to tell us how you felt about your holidays with us.
With regards to our entertainment program, we apologize if it did not meet your expectations. We are always brainstorming on adding more and more activities so our guests can enjoy and of course we are very open on our guest’s suggestions and ideas. If you have any tip you can give us or a good idea that came up, we will be glad hear it.
As for the air-conditioning that comes with an extra charge, with all respect please let me explain why this happens so other readers can have a clear picture. This is because of the nature of our agreement with some of our affiliated Tour Operators. Price competition does not allow tour operators to include extra services in the accommodation rate such as air conditioning, etc.
For that reason this is charged extra, as they are unable to include it in the package rate. Unfortunately it does not come out of our initiative. This is always mentioned in our hotel description in travel brochures and web sites and always available to see before anyone chooses to proceed with a booking in our hotel.
We believe that it would be more convenient if all services were included in your package rate and this is our primary aim as a hotel group when it comes to distribute our accommodation. Unfortunately, tour operators choose not to include them in the rate and as a result this appears as an extra charge to pay.
The whole story is actually about fierce price competition among tour companies. There are some cases that you will find our accommodation a little more expensive and this is because some other tour operators choose to include all in a package rate. So, it is all a matter of pricing strategy that we are not able to change. What we choose to do in our web site for example is to include all services in the package rate, plus extra benefits for our guests, including transfer from and to the airport and other extra services. We believe that a tailored package can cover every need of our guests and also adds value to the money spend.
So, this is it for now. That was just a note on behalf of all the staff and family to say thank you. We hope that we will have the chance to meet you again in any of our hotels. Have a great day!

“In two words "Book it"!”

We booked the holiday last minute through Monarch and had excellent service from booking to landing back in Gatwick. We had to cancel our summer holiday due to illness and this was a replacement for a bit of late sunshine and were not disappointed.

The hotel is a quick transfer which is great with a toddler. The room was overlooking the bar which was good for us as it meant we could sit on our balcony while our son slept and still feel part of the entertainment. It was clean and comfortable with a proper 3rd bed rather than a put-you-up.

The food was lovely and all freshly prepared with some excellent choices. We were AI and were very pleased with each daily offering.

But the selling point of the hotel has to be the staff. They are the most welcoming and friendly people who can't do enough to make your holiday go without a hitch. Our son loved all the attention he got and that made the holiday relaxing for us.

I would recommend a day at the beach nearby (5 min walk). The beds were 6Euro all day and we wandered back to the hotel for lunch leaving our towels on the beds.

It is rare for me to come home and look at costs for next year at the same place but I was so impressed it's hard to find anywhere that would compare for the same excellent price.

“Almost Perfect”

I loved almost every minute of stating at the Diana Palace! We got there and got put into a room in which a couple were already situated, this wasn't too much of a problem, but after a reasonably long transfer, it's not exactly the first thing you want to experience in a hotel. But, years after staying at the Diana for the first time, nothing has changed. The pool is still one of the best around, and Stakis & Daniel were probably some of the most friendly barman in the world! One of the only faults I can mention about the Diana, is that the indoor barman is really friendly with the ladies, but with the men, not so much! He is rather keen to shut up the bar early and go to bed, even when there's a queue of people ready for a good drink! But otherwise, the Diana is an amazing hotel, which I would recommend to absolutely anybody at all! The good ol' Diana never fails to please!

Hello Daniel W!

Thank you very much for taking the time to write your review on Diana Palace and for your kind words on our lovely staff. They are all exceptional people and they love their job but most of all they love sharing their big smile with our guests. Please accept our apologies for the mess up upon your arrival. I suppose that the previous guests did not clear the room on time. I hope you did not wait for long until you checked in in your room and you had the chance to enjoy a refreshment while waiting.
We are sorry if Vasilis at the bar made you feel that way. He is a lovely person and it is in his DNA to be very polite and as a gentleman he is polite to ladies as well always keeping his professional level. This is why our guests love him ( he never stops smiling). It is the first time someone mentions that the bar closes down earlier than the scheduled time. Opening and closing times are always followed by all of our staff. Thank you for letting us know. We will surely investigate what is behind your writings and i am sure this is something that can be fixed immediately. I hope that after so many years, you found what you have been expecting at the Diana Palace and you had the chance to meet some familiar faces. We all hope to see you again in the future to show you that we are not almost perfect, but just perfect :)
Until we meet again, have a safe and warm winter back home. Thank you for taking the time to go through our response.
