The location of the hotel is a little outside of the main shopping district, which is actually a bonus as the gangs which have moved into the area over the last few years mainly hang around the main shopping district doorways, side streets and the surrounding beach area at night. The police are hopeless to react to this problem. - The reception was mostly only manned by 1 person, leading to large queues at peak times. The pool was small, reasonably clean and cold. The restaurant is the worst feature of this hotel, mainly catering for the Spanish tourist. The dishes were oily and fried and were either meat or fish based, even the vegetable dishes - unfortunate for vegetarians.
The serving bowls from the cool tray were simply placed at the end of meal times on top of the remaining food, which was obviously to be reserved at the next meal time.(Yuck!) It didn't even seem to interest the staff when they saw us taking notice of this, they simply carried on.
Cleanliness was ok, room size (Beach Side) was disappointing, a little larger than a broom cupboard with shower only. The Hotel mostly caters for school groups or the older Spanish cliental, the kind of people who push in at reception, block the elevators all day and steal food from the restaurant. This is only a 3*** hotel by Spanish standards so if you remember this and avoid the restaurant at all times then this should be a reasonable place to stay as the location to the beach is the largest bonus with this hotel.

stayed for week in august room serviced every day was on bed and breakfast only glass o beeer 1 euro children enjoyed pool great beach lovely weather staff on reception helpful english speaking rest of staff spanish speaking but helpfukl pleasant clean tidy air conditioning very noisy but it worked well great promenade nice restaurants ice creram parlours and crepe shops watched football live in mnonsoon bar few doors up from hotel on sjky ssports good holiday good train connections to portaventura and barcelona

Just back from calafell stayed in this hotel for two nights with family arrived after 11 night time checked in no problems triple room fine. Plenty of food for breakfast and dinner. Had problem with leaky toilet but was fixed straight away and cleaned up by a nice maintenance man. Beach just across from hotel. Perfect stay.

we were on a travel and tourism trip for college . we stayed at the hotel for 2 nights it was a shambles i havnt seen anything like it in my life. we walked in to the hotel and the electricity wouldnt work. there was a hole in bed quilt . the toilet wouldnt flush. the shower stunk of sewage. to make matters worse they didnt care what so ever. the staff looked miserable all day. are group leaders room was flooded. it was nightmare outside the hotel it was a ghost town graffiti all over the place a derserted beach. i would never go back to this place ever again
