“very good hotel near to the beach”

its very good hotel and you can walk to beach and there are many hotels and bar nearby .
i had a nice memories there and it has broad band connectivity too, but the only concern of mine is the room service was not that much good and they need to improvise a lot interms of customer interaction means they didnt react harshly but atleast they would have made a small smile at me.

“Neat and Clean Rooms”

The hotel is around 1.5 kms from the beach, which i think is far, Pondicherry being a very small town. But I enjoyed the stay here. We had hired Scooties, so the distance to the beach really didnt matter much. We had taken the suite which could accomodate 4 people.
Food wasn't available the day we visited but there are many restaurants nearby

“Good Place to Stay if you pack up with your bread and wine”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 March 2011

I stayed in this hotel with my friends. Our trip was just for fun and our thought was to bash out our week end. We booked suite room in advance and when we reached the hotel the room was available.

The room was neat and tidy. The staff was friendly even though we had a the thought other way at the time of check in. All of us were asked to provide ID card which I have no where found so far. They took the photocopy of our ID cards and we felt as if we were not treated as their guest. But later we found that it was a practice any where we stay in this city.

The behavior of the people who ever we have moved was really appreciable and they did what all we have asked for. But the drawback from our point of view is that they do not serve alcoholic beverages and there is no restaurant available in the hotel. The room service department will arrange food from out side at our convenience but we are left only with minimum choice of food varieties.

Overall this is a good hotel in the prime location of Pondicherry. I will definitely recommend this hotel to my friends.

“Diwali getaway in Puducherry”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 November 2010

We friends were doing a bike trip from Chennai to Puducherry and back on the diwali weekend. We checked into the Clock Tower hotel as one of the friends in the group had stayed there earlier.

The first thing one notices about this place is the simplicity of design and the functionality imbibed in the whole place. Located hardly a kilometer away from the beach, this is a cozy place with the right mix of the modern amenities and colonial French architecture and furnishing. The French windows opening into the balcony and the roof-access in the cyclonic drizzle were amazing.

The only negative was the fact that the A/C condensation pipe dripped into the loo. However, the service is good and the people are polite and that made our stay pleasant.
