I have been to the Mar y sol many times but this is the first since the renovations have been done. I didnt think it could get any better when i last visited in 2007 but how wrong was I. I travelled with my disabled husband and daughter and found that everything we needed was catered for, even nude sunbathing on the rooftop terrace, if that takes your fancy. The reception colleagues and waiters were outstanding, even remembering us from years ago.
The food in the hotel was very good, we booked direct with the hotel and was far cheaper than booking with an agent in England.
The renovations, including Teralava were very impressive although we didnt get round to using Terelava they gave you a price list explaining what facilites were available, massages physio etc.
The problem i found was that I only booked for a week instead of two. Looking already for next year.

The hotel is fabulous for disabled people and their families. We will definitely be returning. We have tried many places before but this hotel was perfect for access and the staff were extremely accommodating to our needs. The best thing was that disabled people and able bodied people were both able to enjoy their holiday together. We met people there who had travelled alone because the hotel gave them an independence that they wouldn't have in any other hotel. Also the food is amazing, I'm quite a fussy eater but I loved everything that was served here. I would advise anyone with a disabled person in their party to go to this hotel.

I stayed tin this hotel early April 2011 and I was very surprised how well funcktioning the hotel was for disabled. I travelled alone but the room was very good for a wheelchair user as I am and the hotel a free bathchair for the shower. The service in the restaurant was excellent, because they are used to wheelchair users and I found the whole service concept was excellent including the possibily to rent mobility equipment from the nearby Lero. Rooms were standard equipped but I had a room with a large terrasse where I could sit under a parasol and read a book. Food is plenty in the restaurant and there is a lot to choose among so it is always possible to find a dish which you like ofcourse it is not Michelin 3 star but it is acceptable.
Definitely returning back to same hotel

We went as a family. My dad had a stroke and is paralyzed on one side. This hotel gave us the best holiday we had been on together. Not only did it have all the facilities he required but it was great for us able bodied and kids. The hotel has a real family atmosphere with 3 pools. One of which is like a hot bath. This pool and the cooler one has a winch to help those that need it to get in. The life guard is very helpful in helping those with disabilities to use the pool. My Dad had not been swimming for 8 years until this holiday. The entertainment is organized throughout the day by one lady animation team. She was excellent. If you preferred not to leave the pool area there was always plenty to do for all. Attached to the hotel is a health centre specializing in physiotherapy and massages. Also attached is a mobility rental shop 'LeRo'. Not only do they supply all kinds of mobility scooters and wheelchairs but they also supply upto 24 hour nursing if required.

The food was buffet style and of a good quality. Every night we were spoiled for choice. The quality, choice and amount of food available was the best surprise. The rooms are all apartment style either studio or two rooms. They were all very spacious with large wet room perfect for any one in a wheelchair. The all had a fridge and small hob.

Finally all the staff were friendly and many had worked their for a number of years. Most of the guests had been before and came once a year. This hotel really was very special in so many ways.
