Stayed here early December 2011. Nothing to complain about apart from the apartment was very basic, but to be fair it was cheap. Not over the moon with having to pay to use the TV in this day and age. Best rooms if you have kids would be ground floor opening onto the pool area. Few bars to the right and left with town centre and beach a 10-15 mins walk. Try the Mongolian restaurant which is close by. That is recommended along with the Chinese next to Manhattans bar. Would be happy to stop in this area again.

stayed at aguamar nine times.rooms clean tidy .could do with air con or fans in rooms especially in summer months reception very good.pool area good very good lifeguard.taught numerous children.how to swim including our grandaughter plenty of bars and restaurants close to hotel.

My wife and I are both in our mid fifties and stayed at the Agumar for a week at the end of November 2011. We knew before we left that this was budget accommodation so did not expect the height of luxury but did expect the place to be clean and pleasant - and this is exactly what we got.
Our apartment was spacious and in good order. We were on the first floor overlooking the pool and had a very large balcony which we never used - too cool to sit out of an evening and we were out all day. The balcony didn't get any sun at that time of year anyway.
One problem we had with the room was security as the balcony door had clearly been forced in the past and could not be locked. We ensured that we had money and vauables with us at all times or had them safely locked and hidden away in the car - as a precaution although it proved not to be necessary.
We didn't use the cooking facilities which were basic - small hob and a small microwave - but there is an abundance of bars, restaurants and take aways close to the Aguamar which offer decent food at competitive prices. A good sized supermarket is only a few minutes walk for staples.
Beyond that we didn't really use the hotel facilites but the staff we did encounter were friendly and obliging.
The apartments are conveniently located being a 15-20min stroll from the town centre/beach, parking is easy, no steep hills and the location is a convenient for touring the south of the island if you wish.
At the end of the day you usually get what you pay for and the Aguamar offered good value for money.

we arrived on 24th of december at Los Cristianos/Aguamar. I can only say: one of the most beautiful christmas days of our life!
