“Great hospitality, excellent location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 July 2010

We spent 10 days there with a group of friends with children.
The owners are really welcoming and helpful.
The only weakness is kitchen facilities and a condition of bathrooms facilities. Thera is not a good grocery store round there. And this garbage trucks at 6.00 AM...

To the best family beaches on the island is just 2 min walk. This is important because a lot of beaches on the island is dedicated to homosexuals. along the beach is a lot of restaurants, and clubs.

Public transport is also very close (5 min walk).

“Great Hotel! Great Location!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 October 2009

Pelagos Studios was a great choice in Mykonos and a great value. We were picked up from the airport and brought to the hotel. The rooms were older but extremely clean. They have kitchenettes in them and good AC. It took about a minute to walk down to the beach and we were able to walk along the coast to check out the other beaches. The bus stop to downtown Mykonos is about a 5 minute walk from the hotel and it only takes about 10 minutes by bus to get downtown. We were even given a ride to the port early in the morning. Really great service and really great location. I would definitely recommend Pelagos.

“Fantastic!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 September 2009

We stayed here for 7 nights and could have stayed a month. The rooms were super clean. We've stayed at two other hotels in Platys Gialos so we know the area and it's offerings.
If you can afford it, take a room on the top floor... the views from there were excellent especially from our massive balcony. The breeze was also lovely at night. The patios come with sun umbrellas and you'll need them with sun on the patios most of the day.
Also Dimitra & Yiannis the owners were super, super friendly and helpful.
Our only very minor complaint was that the kitchen was not as well stocked as we had experienced on the other 2 islands we visited, which is only an issue if you want to cook in more than less.

In the area:
The beach was a really short walk. Yiannis recommended a restaurant we had not tried... Acrogiali Hotel on the beach... he was so right... we ate there 3 nights... it is hosted by the owner George Theoharis who has one of the most amazing staffs in all the restaurants we ate in during our 3 weeks in Greece. Eat what George recommends he never missed a beat.
Another place that was outstanding was Tasos Restaurant on Paraga Beach an enjoyable yet bit of a rugged 20 minute walk from Platys Gialos.
One last recommendation... when Yiannis recommends a car hire place.. listen to him we didn't, saved a few bucks and had a really bad experience. Yiannis is the kind of local that's only going to offer good advice.

“Very High Standards”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 June 2009

It is difficult to find better studios in Mykonos - so clean, very well maintained - everything works.Very comfortable and so very friendly.Located in Platys Gialos with a very frequent
service by bus into Mykonos Town,(Takes about 10-15 minutes)There is a beach 50 metres away but we prefer to walk to the smaller quieter beaches.10/15 minutes ! The owners are so very friendly and helpful and they offer far better value for money than the very expensive Mykonos Town.

“the owners are super kind”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 September 2008

Nice rooms and cheap price.
Studios have wonderful terrace with sea view.
Plati Gialos is too much crowded as a beach, according to me but in a few minutes driving you can go everywhere.
Studios have kitchenette so you can cook by your self and so avoid the super expensive prices that EVERY place has in Mykonos.

My best greetings to Mr Yannis and his wife: very gentle and kind people.
