Stayed at Mykonos Palace for 4 nights in mid September. From the moment we arrived, the two concierges we dealt with at the front desk were extremely helpful. From showing us a map of the island, where the bus stop was, how to get to town and which beaches are the best. We wanted to do a horseback riding tour (which I would highly, highly recommend) and the day time concierge set it up for us for that same day. The breakfast was standard, mediocre. Definitely saved a lot of money having it there, though. There is a computer in the lobby for use of hotel guests with free internet.
The location couldn't have been better. Steps out of the main lobby onto Platys Gialos beach where two lounge chairs and an umbrella are 10 euro. Only negative would be the people who walk around trying to sell stuff. A bus stop about a 3 minute walk down the beach took us into town in under 10 minutes. 1.40 euro each way with a reliable schedule. A water taxi is also available to get to all the other beaches. About 4 or 5 restaurants along the beach right next to the hotel. I would suggest Blue Myth on Greek night for a fun time and good food. The pool was great with a nice deck over looking the ocean.
Our room was larger than I anticipated. 3 twin beds, good size bathroom. Balcony on our room. My only complaint about this hotel is that one day, in the middle of the day, I walked in to get something I had forgotten and found 4 or 5 maids lounging in our room. Literally one of them was lying across my bed, reading our magazines. They all jumped up when they saw me come in like they knew they were in the wrong. They did not speak any English so I just directed them out of the room but was pretty disgusted with that whole episode.
Besides the maid situation, I would highly recommend this hotel. It's quiet, right on the beach, and a very easy trip into town.
