In my opinion, you can't expect to get a 5 stars hotel when you are paying very little. This hotel is not the best place I've ever stayed but it wasn't THAT bad as other people make it sound either.
The AC issue, it works but you have to request the remote control and I believe they charge you a couple of Euros. This hotel, is actually self catering apartment style, so no, you won't have someone changing your towels every single day and making your bed. And no, you wont find a mint on your pillow.
This is a great place if you come to Ibiza to party, we're a couple in our late 20's and stayed there twice. Once in 2009 and another time in 2011, the front desk were very friendly and yeah, they're English was lacking but this is Spain after all.
Below (as by the hotel pool) you'll find a hot spot for the evenings, Buddha bar. When we first one in 2009 it was low key quite place, after some renovations by 2011 it became a hot spot in Plaja D'en Bossa. The pool is nice and clean and the front desk very friendly, their only "fault" might be not be 100% fluent in English but they try hard to make themselves clear and to understand you. Also, this hotel is right next to the famous Bora Bora and walking distance to Space, Usuahaia (overrated place, but that's another issue) and tons of bars. The beach is great and the people beautiful.
We would definitely go back there to Tur Palas :) Enjoy!

Ok so it's pretty cheap and in a great spot. Although the guy on reception only speaks selected English and is the most unhelpful and miserable chap I've ever come across.
The rooms are dirty and the air con doesn't work. GIVE IT A MISS !
The Ebano is the same price but much nicer and only a 5 minute walk.

This hotel is disgusting. I don't mind basic, but unclean is just not on!

Stains on the toilet seat, the bath painted white, sand actually left in the bottom of the bath from the last tenants, grey marked bedsheets and covers... yuck!

We ended up having to bleach the bathroom as it was soo filthy and even then it didn't seem clean.

I didn't think it would be quiet in Ibiza, but it doesn't help that this hotel is situated under a flight path!

The only good thing about this place is the pool which is attached (although I don't think it is actually owned by the hotel!) it does great cocktails and good food.

Been to Ibiza for the last 5 years and always stayed in Ibiza Town, this year decided we wanted to be nearer Bora Bora and more central, so booked to stay at the Tur Palas.....and was seriously worried that it was going to be a dump due to the cheap room price......how surprised were we!!!!

On arrival staff were very helpful and accommodating, the rooms was basic, but certainly no more basic than where we had stayed in previous years. The location for us was unquestionably the best, so near the airport and minutes from Bora Bora. Their pool was far better than the hotel in Ibiza Town, which was 3 x's the price. All round, we found it brilliant and will definiately be booking this year!
