first of all when booking there is no way of telling if you are getting the hotel or club i went back to the travel agents and asked them to find out for me and asked for the club thomson amended the booking the week before we went i was so glad i did. the hotel is a high rise block but they use the same pool as the club, quite a treck if you have children while we were there we got talking to a few around the pool most were saying that it was noisy in the hotel with lots of young banging on doors and running in the coridors one couple was told this was because in other countries the hotel was used as a young and lively hotel we had none of this we were in block 2000 in the club we were on the first floor over looking the pool we had two rooms next to each other both very clean no problems with ants we did wake one morning to the sound of crashing as the doors to the rooms back onto the recycle bins as they empted the bottles but we all had good nights sleep. we went with two adult kids so the walk into town was great but i could see as a mum that i dont think i would have liked taking young children there after your evening meal lots of young adults in groups some a little worse for drink ...never saw any trouble and all having fun (we were all young once) but could have been a little scarry for the younger members of the family.drinks out of the hotel are very expencive 4or5 euros for beer although it was nice to get a drink and not have to wait as we did every day at the hotel we timed it one day 19 mins to get 2 cokes only two staff at the bar pool bar and the hotel not very busy when there were complants to the hotel they just shrug there sholders and when the reps were told they said it was down to the hotel and nothing they could do ...very bad service ..may be this was to stop you having to many drinks (cost cutting may be ) apart from that the food was great always hot plenty of choice entertainment as expected in these kind of hotels ....all in all we had a good week but the problems with the drinks did get under my skin hate to think what its like in school holiday weeks

Room Tip: ask for the club overlooking the pool

I went with a friend just before the party season we managed to catch a couple of bars but we really went to relax.

Room
The rooms were lovely, they felt like a little apartment we didn't even wanna leave it at times.

Entertainment
The entertainment was your typical hotel entertainment. The shows were really good though and you were drawn in to the silliness after a couple of all inclusive drinks.

Staff
The staff were very friendly. Our reps were really nice and made an effort to talk to you and let you know about trips and stuff.

Food & Drink
There was a fantastic range of food for breakfast, lunch and dinner with snacks in between. The buffet had all sorts to choose from whether you were feeling adventurous or sticking to the norm. I ate so much.

Price
I paid £360 inc flights, transfers and free entry to the waterpark (across the road) at any time. I thought I got a great deal for my money.

Location
The location was very nice with its own choice of bars and restaurants. Although for hardcore partygoers its no close to San Antonio bay at all and that's were all the raving goes down.

Overall a lovely relaxing holiday. Great if you are a family with children aswell due to the kids clubs and kids disco every night.

Hotels is poor, needs completely refurbished, rooms are very dated and not clean, mould on bathroom ceiling, rust on shower and taps. Room was full of ants also, disgusting! Food basic, drinks ok. Good location right on beach, although very close to airport and there are flights coming in and out every 5mins so its very noisey. Although its all inclusive you have to sign for all drinks, as a result theres always huge queues at the bars. Not a family hotel as advertised, it caters more for groups of youngsters, its almost impossible to get any sleep because they all come back around 5/6am making alot of noise. Also the bins get emptied at 6.30am every morning, all you can hear is glass being smashed. Only 1 person on reception most of the time so checking in and out can be a lenghty process. The maid simply makes the beds.....she certainly doesnt do any sort of cleaning, floors were covered in sand when we arrived and we hadnt even been near the beach! Dont waste your time getting a safe either because it only covers you for up to 250euros!!!! Air conditioning wasnt working when we arrived so we informed reception, we had to remind them daily that this hadnt been fixed, and when we left it still hadnt been fixed.

“Value for money all inclusive hotel”

We have just returned hom from the Club Don Toni. Last year we stayed at the Hotel Don Toni and although the rooms were very basic etc we had a fab time, hence our return visit this year. On arrival we were told that we were staying in the Club side. We arrived at the room to find it ground floor and around the pool area, I think it was 4012 or someething similar.. The room itself on first impression was lovely, very clean and far better than those on the Hotel side, we had an end room which was very spacious and the bathroom separated the bedroom and living area, meaning my 10 year old daughter almost had a room to herself. However, during our first night I itched all night and kept 'imagining' something crawling over me. In the morning my husband also said the same, when we got out of the bed it seems hundreds of ants had joined us durng the night!!! All over the headboard, under the pillows and over the sheets, yuk!!!! Now I don't mind the odd ant which you have to expect if staying ground floor in a garden area BUT this was literally hundreds moving in a line over the beds, fascinating to watch BUT to share a bed with! The reception offfered to send cleaners but as the room was spotless we asked for a move. We moved further down the end into room 6105. A smaller room but a first floor one with only a few ants. The only issue with this block is that it is directly behind a beach bar that for the first few days appeared to be shut, then on random days they had parties, one starting at 9am and going on all day until almost midnight. However, we like ,music so this was not an issue for us, we are generally up and out by 10am and spend little time in the room anyway, it was generally finished by the time we went to bed and was only on a few days of the week. My daughter loved it, as she wanted to go clubbing and is only 10 (bless her) it meant she could dance on the balcony along with the music. Obvioulsy this could be a major issue for some though. Yes you do have to queue at certain times at the pool bars, trick is to either watch for the queue to die down or order 2 drinks at a time! You can also get bottles of not bad wine on all inclusive so for the wine drinkers - get a bottle! In the evening we personally had no problem with queues. Shows ok if that is your thing, we only actaully sat and watched a few, chinese acrobats good though. Nice balcony to sit on over on the Hotel side bar overlooking the sea. Food very good, plenty of choice too, other guests appeared to be mixed group, some elderly, a lot of families etc, obviusly some clubbers there but most of those were the more mature clubber. We saw no evidence of guests causing problems. As for Play den Bossa, fabulous beach and very near to Eivissa (Ibiza town) where there are good shops, harbour bars/restaurarts and the lovely old town to explore. Also you can get a bus almost anywhere form Ibiza town. Please be aware though Playa den Bossa isn't really a family resort. Even though there is the water park etc, the town is full of clubbers. Not a nice place after 8.00pm if you want to stroll with a child. Although the Don Toni, whilst we were there at least, was very family friendly so as long as you are happy to stay in the hotel of an evening you will be fine. Would I stay there again? Yes but not in block 4000! unless you like to observe ants!. The staff are lovely, could do with a few more bar staff during the day but nothing major, could be a problem in high season though. Very close to the airport but that did not bother us as we live on a flight path anyway! Hotel I would say is family friendly, but not the resort. Not a place for a quiet holiday. Ibiza is a party Island but there are some very quiet, chilled our resorts too - do your homework before picking a resort and choose one to suit you. If you want quiet and tranquill don't stay in Playa den Bossa, try further north or up the coast. Look at the forums and ask for advice - plently with offer advice.

Room Tip: AVOID BLOCK 4001 - best to ask for for 1st or 2nd floor room if you do end up over that side

“Join the Queue at the Club Don Toni”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 September 2011

We had a week AI at the Club Don Toni last week in August. The food was ok,the queue in the dining room was a pain the first few days got better as the hotel become less full.I did think it could have been organised better as you had to queue past everything before you could get to the main course meat at the far end,two lines would have been better.Sun beds were in great supply no queue there, drinks were not so good always a long queue at the bar.

Check in queue OMG the old guy Antonio needs glasses! fortunately we were first in the queue the poor people behind us,he really needs to sort out his eye sight he dithered about for ages we only had 2 rooms as there were 4 of us.

The entertainment was very good full marks there!

Only gripe was the young english girl organizing the boys football, she did not have a clue or a whistle, she was very nice & cheered everytime anyone scored & clapped the group of little girls doing handstands in the middle of the pitch during the game.
She did not mix the age groups & one day had a team of 12/13 yearolds playing little boys of 6 & 7,who did not stand a chance no fun for them bless them.I did notice alot of the parents stopped taking the younger children after a couple of days as it was not much fun for the at all. This could have been easily avoided with a little thought & a bit of organization for the staff. After all it is her job.
The rooms were ok we had to wait a day before we were put in the same block felt like it delayed the start to our holiday.
Overall we had a good time the staff were good it is packed with families,i would go back with my family again.
