“Consider who you book with”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 February 2012

I stay here in jan 2009 and we have rebooked to go in March 2011 we booked with Alpharooms.com but we found it cheaper with lowcostholidays.com when we tried to claimed back the difference uder their price promise but they are tring to wrrigle out of it so all i can suggest is you look at other web site first as you might find it cheaper somwhere else first as alpharooms.com will not honour their price promise as they claim on their web site
When we stayed at Oasislanzaclub in 2009 we found the complex clean and tidy gardens well looked after the apartment well equipt for complete self catering so we hoping for this time around it is the same

Room Tip: this complex very close to the main area and beaches

“worth considering”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 February 2012

Just stayed here for 2 weeks self catering but tried the BBQ and paella demo on site. Really good location, friendly and clean with reasonable but tired facilities. Food OK and good value too. 3rd visit to Costa Teguise Oasis Lanz is one to bear in mind. Limited range of kitchen utensils/equipment for the more adventurous cooks!

“Another True review about Oasis Lanz”

This was my second holiday after being on Fuerteventura for two weeks, we stayed here for three weeks in December to January 2012. Read my other review on Oasis Dunas Fuerteventura
The Hotel staff are quite friendly and try to please you with almost any request however!!!
We purchased new clothes for the holidays, some designer ones only to have a massive amount accidently thrown out by an over enthusiastic maid, whether that’s what happened I will leave that for you to decide, but they were all new and expensive. The hotel would only give us 50% of the value stating it was our fault for leaving them on the bathroom floor in a washing bucket. Disappointing.
The pools are immaculate and clean, as well as safe, with two life guards. Get out before 6am or you won’t get a sun bed I have never seen a hotel with such arrogant people whom cover the beds and don’t turn up until lunch time, then only stay for an hour after covering the beds back up. I used to just walk up with my family and systematically remove eight towels from the beds and use the beds. But one had to do this daily, one day we counted 70 beds covered with towels disgraceful. The bottom pool is heated and very welcoming. There is a bar situated by this and the children’s pool. The life guards are very keen and professional. These apartments are time share as well, this shows as 50% of the holidaymakers are residents within the complex and one gets the feeling its very very clicky to say the least, some of them think they own the island.
The bar well I can only describe it as a nursing home, the entertainment is actually worse than a nursing home I know because we owned one for 25 years. There are numerous singers on that wouldn’t get passed security in a nut house its terrible, there are very rarely more than four five people in the bar at night.
I speak fluent Spanish and don’t normally let on to the fact but one morning I had to stop a maid pounding my family with insults I will not repeat on here what she said but management had strict words with her explaining to her that I had a Spanish tongue as well, very embarrassing on her behalf and we never saw her again. Most of the staff are Romanian including management, life guards and most of the cleaners, just thought I would mention that, you will probably get the drift when you land there. Rooms are basic but ok plus you can get wifi in your room for a fee.
Outside the complex is brilliant try to stear away from the English bars with the drag acts on, especially if you have children, very seedy and filthy. If you have kids with you take them into the main square or down to bar Iguana free park and stuff for the kids.
Eating out cant come any cheaper we ate out every night and a full Chinese buffet all you can eat with drinks 22 euro for a family of four unbelievable try Jumbo very nice, my kids had 8 to 10 deserts plus fruit and ice cream all for three Euros including a full buffet. Drinks in general are half the price of Fuerteventura. Stunning safe beaches, the best fishing I have ever done abroad, big boys off the piers. If you have kids take them down to Lanzarote Gardens hotel on a night but get in at 7.00pm or you wont get a seat fantastic entertainment and only a five minute walk from the Oasis. Would I go back yes to the resort, but never to Oasis Lanz not even if I won it.

Room Tip: look for a different complex

“Fine to get your head down”

Jan 2012 - The complex had obviously been built some time ago and whilst we were there, there was maintenance works going on and felt it was undergoing a slow refurb programme. We had booked this holiday through Groupon, £93 so in terms of value I would have been upset if Id have paid more. There are two pools, well kept one of which is heated to a temperate level. The bar area was very pleasant and well furnished and the gardens well kept. Whilst walking around the complex it seems there are varying standards of apartments. Some we could see into seem to have been modernised, however our apartment was tired and grotty. On the third floor (313) corner next to the main road, it was noisy. There is a bottle bank 50 meters from our window, and the opposite hotels' bin lobby too, so every other day 430 am the bin wagon would pull up and noisily empty every bin taking what felt like the longest time ever! The beds were very comfortable (perhaps memory foam?) however the fittings were well passed their life span. Location was great, time share mafia never came near us and overall a pleasant stay. After all we spent minimum time in the apartment though the bin wagon did mar a restful nights sleep.

Room Tip: Go for rooms around the heated pool

“One of my best winter holidays”

Reading some of the reviews on here before my stay, I was a little concerned that I had made a mistake. How wrong I was, I stayed for 1 week with my wife and daughter and we had a lovely time. First impressions are good, reception is modern and the gardens are beautiful. On entering the apartment, I was pleasantly surprised by the size of it. It soon becomes clear , that the rooms do need a bit of work and they are a bit rough round the edges, the impression of paint on top of paint is noticable. Overall, the apartment was comfortable and relaxing, the beds were excellent and maid service was 3 times during our stay. The beds were made and the apartment mopped, towels and bedding was not replaced at all during our stay. Although this is something I have come to expect on holiday, in reality how often do most people change towels and bedding at home? The resort is prime location, walk out the reception door and there is a ramp across the road, turn left for the sea and Villa Toledo, where you will find the best food in the resort. Turn right for the bars and the more "English" restaurants, the resort is really one big circle and you will quicky learn your way around. Scratch under the surface and there is still some Spanish culture left here, the English element has made it slightly sterile. There is still the usual collection of "looky looky" men, but they are polite and it is a breath of fresh air to not be constantly hassled by people trying to get you to eat and drink in there establishment. There are no clubs here, and the bars are cheap. We spent every night after our evening meal back at the resort and used the hotel bar. It has some lovely sofas outside undercover by the pool, it is quiet and the drinks are reasonably priced. Oasislanz Club is perfect if you want a good base for your holiday and somewhere to relax for a few hours, the pools are large and clean. Costa Teguise feels safe and has everything you need to keep you entertained.
