“Great family holiday!”

We stayed at Sands Beach for a week last over Easter 2011. We really enjoyed this holiday. We had a lovely apartment that had everything we needed. The children loved having 7 pools to try each day and with the apartments layed out around each one it was easy just to pop back to our room for anything we needed. There is a nice family bar with good kids entertainment and a supermarket on site which had everything we needed.
The staff were really helpful.
Costa teguise was lovely. We ate out every night and found some fantastic restaurants.
From Sands itself to the main part of the resort is about 10-15 min walk with children but we really enjoyed it. If you have a pushchair you need to go along the main road rather than the beach front as there are sections without pathways.
We paid for a welcome pack (essential food and drink items) at sands which was great as we arrived late in the evening. We had everything we needed for a late night snack and breakfast.
In summary it was a great holiday and we would definitely go back (which is a big thing for us as we like to try somewhere new each year!)

“Good complex but looking a bit tired. Dont stay there if you don't like kids!”

We were upgraded to a beach front apartment which was a nice touch. However a few days into our stay we wished we were by a pool away from the families and all the other British they'd put on the beach. The family we were next too were so inconsiderate and the walls are quite thin. If you want peace and quiet avoid the beach and stay in a pool side apartment. Staff were really helpful and facilities in the apartment excellent. Could do with a deep clean but we did not spot any pests. The main strip with restaurants is less than a miles walk either over the beach or a road that runs parallel. Weather was pretty cold so if you're planning on going in the next few weeks pack plenty of warm clothing.

“Winter holiday at Sands Beach”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 February 2012

We've just come back from a very enjoyable SC break at Sands Beach Resort in Costa Teguise. The resort is lovely, very nicely set out, apartment clean, spacious and very nice. Staff were very helpful and friendly, on-site supermarket well stocked and not too overpriced - we bought beautiful fresh baked rolls there every morning. We ate at the Hacienda restaurant the first night - a Canarian buffet - which was nice but not 'write-home-about' nice. The only drawback for us was that our apartment (65 Plaza Canarias) had no sun! I wish we'd asked to be upgraded to an apartment in a better location. As it was exceptionally windy while we were there we couldn't sit on the loungers by the pool either without sitting in a gale force 10! However, the apartments opposite us had full sun and enough shelter for people to lie outside them.

Our only other complaint was the pillows - narrow and a bit lumpy! The bed was comfy but shorter than an average UK bed, made no difference to us as we're not very tall but could ruin a tall person's holiday!

So in conclusion I would say that Sands Beach is very nice but nicer depending on where your apartment is, and this is probably less of an issue in the summer.

Room Tip: Ask for a sunny room, pay more for an upgrade if you have to!

“Sun & Fun at Sands Beach”

Just come back from a 2 week holiday with my partner. This was my first time here & it didn't fail to impress. We opted for a superior beach front sea view apartment. Initially they put us in BF 71, however there was no beachfront to it and was stuck at the very end of the block, after we complained they moved us to BF 54 free of charge. The apartment was very clean, the bed was very comfortable & the view was very nice. We went self catering & I had planned to cook most nights in the full kitchen but the restaurants around the resort were very reasonable and the food was superb, so we ate out every night. The maid was in every day with fresh towels & the bedding was changed every second day. The resort is in the middle of works to update the pool behind us so there was quite a bit of heavy machinery, which was annoying if you fancied a little siesta, but overall it didn't restrict our holiday in the slightest. Apart from this the resort was nice & quiet which made for a relaxing holiday. The local cats are a delight, with many of them adopting you for the stay (I'm not a cat lover, but even I wanted to bring them home in my suitcase!) Plenty to do in the local area, nice walk along the beach front to the main area. Lovely restaurants a plenty, never had a bad meal & all very reasonable, I would recommend Divinia Italia in the square. Would definitely go back & recommend to anyone thinking of going.

“WINTER BREAK”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2012

Just come back from a weeks holiday here with my husband and thoroughly enjoyed it. We had a beachfront apartment on half board. The food was fabulous and very varied. Some of it was cooked on the spot. Our apartment was kept splotlessly clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. This place is also ideal for families. We had a great winter break and will definately be returning.

Room Tip: Choose a beachfront or pool view apartment
