We booked a last minute holiday to Kos for myself, partner and son and we were booked into the Fania apartments for 3 person accommodation.
The bad bits:
We had a two person room with an extra bed which made for very cramped conditions. There was no provision made for three people in terms of cups, cutlery, etc. The owner explained that this was because according to the tourist board, they don't have to provide additional items!
The room was only cleaned once (on second day) during our stay. We ended up using our own towels and laundering them ourselves.
The balcony area was over run with beetles (see photo) which were about the size of a 10p piece! It was a battle to keep them out of the room!
There is a notice on the wall in the room which states that any damage in the room will cost over 500 Euros (see photo).
The owners were not around much throughout our stay and when they were, they were only interested in trying to get more money - additional charge for use of room safe, additional charge for air con, etc. We had a 'heated discussion' with the owners when they tried to say that we had arrived a day earlier than we actually had and would have to pay for the room for an extra day! Then as we had we had a late flight, they wanted 25 Euros each to keep the room for 6 hours!
I now understand why we were the only the people in the apartments for the whole week!
The good bits:
Good location with easy walking distance into the main restaurant and bar area of Kardemena.
There is a supermarket just at the end of the road for all your supplies.
Two other recommendations:
Nemo Restaurant is bar far the best place to eat out in Kardamena, with huge portions at excellent prices!
Manos Car Hire is well worth checking out if you want to tour the island and Veronica there is really nice and helpful.

best place to stay in kardamena
I am the owner of fania apartments i didn't want to enter to this process to answer in this slanderous libel to my apartments I only make and only for the re-establishment of truth.The apartments belong to a small family who take pride in their work and want to offer you the best. They are friendly and willing to help you and will always be somewhere around the apartments making sure they are to your liking.
these three people was not for fania apartments because their closed the last moment and sent to us, We normally opened based travel agency CONTRACT ON June 25 that was Wondering why you were only the people in the apartments for the whole week!
All that you write are lies and they do out of revenge because they pay in the tourist office 6 DAYS and the room you stay 7 days for the policy of the tourist office is that if the CLIENT DAYS stayed longer pays. was so bad that people from our revenge spoil TOASTER not their MONEY We asked for this. The room selected for the economy, came with his friend and son and stay at a room,if they wanted a suite room to be lived in Hilton. what they say about the paper of damage have posted from tourist guides because many CLIENTS go to bars and drink and broken THE DOORS and glasses and chairs.about cups and various other utensils to be cared
for and we brought three people, SHEETS and TOWELS arrogant every three days.about beetles, there was not beetles there are mosquitoes are there in ALL countries where they came THESE HOLIDAYS and do not know the mosquitoes; all these lies and ridiculousness are written just for revenge because pay more money. AND WE GO
Vacations Cross the europe ,know that if the rooms above DAYS PAY THEY UNFORTUNATELY, but do not know HOLIDAYS.
