“I only stayed here because of the Bus Terminal...”

I recommend this hotel ONLY if you need to use the Guadalajara bus terminal or want to be close to the airport. I had to catch a 6:30AM bus, and the close proximity of the hotel can't be beat. It took about 15-20 mins. from the hotel to the airport to pick up a friend, ($150 pesos, flat fare, not much traffic) and the hotel staff where helpful arranging this for me. You might be able to negotiate a lower fare with a cab from across the way at the terminal.

The rooms are outdated, tiny, shabby (indeed!) and the sleep quality isn't great - I recommend earplugs. I would stay here again only if I needed to use the terminal to get in and out of the city.

“Okay in a pinch”

We stayed because of it's close proximity to the long distance bus station.

The other reviewer that called the rooms 'shabby' must have been in my exact room! It was a bit run down and not up to expectations....for the price......

We tried the restaurant upon the friendly recommendation of the desk clerk. Mediocre at best. We would have done better at the food stand near the road....

We felt secure at this hotel and the OXX0 is within a 5 minute walk.

Slow Internet works only when within wireless range of the bar ...not in the rooms

“A practical choice for long distance bus travelers.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 November 2009

This hotel is right next door to the Camionera Nueva so if you will just be in town overnight, this is the best place to stay. In my case, I arrived on a bus from the coast one night and had to leave for the airport before daylight the next morning. This place was perfect. I saved a taxi fare, had a good dinner in their 24 hour restaurant, and the bellman had me in a taxi in less than 2 minutes the next morning. The staff were professional and the common areas of the hotel were nice (pool, lobby, bar). Now for the bad parts. My room was very shabby - not dirty, just really worn out. Also, the location would be poor if you were staying more than one night and wanted to do some sightseeing.

“convenient mixed bag”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 April 2008

This large hotel is just a few feet from the many modules of the new central bus station on the edge of Guadalajara, directly next to the Primera Plus area, which is probably the most used by visitors to this area. Downstairs, the large lobby and restaurant/bar (open 24 hrs a day) are inviting as well as the garden area with large pool. While not gourmet, the meals I had there were fine. The employees are very helpful and pleasant. The room was clean, but hadn't been updated for many years. No remote on the tiny TV and the pillows were hard as rocks. The room was so small there was no area for even a chair so expect to use the bed for everything. However, this hotel serves passengers who need to transfer from one bus to another or from the airport/bus station and need the convenience of being right there. There is no A/C and you will want to open a window, so expect some noise from the road and the bus station.

  • Liked — great location, friendly staff
  • Disliked — tiny room, noise from the street
