oh disaster the mini fridge in room was empty when I got to room ,filled immediately. Food was better than a year and 1/2 ago. I think the place has improved if that is possible since my last visit, I was by myself and everyone else was couples but all were nice to me. best resort/hotel staff I have seen in a long time. If you are a nudist or want to try it this is the best place to do it. there were some bugs biting some of the people so you might want a little bug spray. the rock band on tuesday was great. My room was on disco side but was not much of a problem and I sleep in quiet country side.

Wonderful week at HBR. It was our 3rd time at this resort and won't be our last.

HBR has consistancy down to a science.

Karla at the reception desk is phenomenal. Wonderful personality with a great concern for detail. There were only two little issues we had, and she dealt with them immediately and satisfactorily.

Jesus, Angel, Anicepto and Esperanza were incredible. We could not have asked for better service nor for service with a better attitude.

There are some staff members in any organization who "just do it better", and "make a difference". This certainly applies to Rosie in house keeping. What a wonderful asset she is to your staff. There's a saying in management that "You never get a second chance to make a good first impression" and this good first impression was assured when we walked into the room and everything was attractively arranged for a wonderful first impression.

I would be remiss if I didn't mention the chefs. Their skill in preparing and presenting the meals was amazing.

We would highly recommend this resort....just try it, you'll like it!

Laid back, peaceful and friendly. The staff is amazing, the water was warm. Rooms were comfortable (not that we stayed in them much). Food was excellent.

This was our 8th stay at Hidden Beach and the best part of the resort was still there - the wonderful people! The facilities are very upscale and always being maintained. We had two small room issues (such as a sliding glass door handle that came loose) and they were both fixed almost before I could get back from the office to report them. The rooms are very comfortable and easily accessible from the recreational area in this small resort.
Easily the best part of any visit to HBR is the sincerely gracious service from their entire staff. Everyone, from housekeeper to chef to resort manager make it very clear that they truly want you to be there. We were very happy to see many of our friends still there, even in this difficult economic climate. There are too many to name - Karla, in the office will see to it that any request that you have is taken care of as soon as possible. And all of the restaurant and service people do everything they can to make you feel comfortable and at home. During the day Angel, Jesus, Aniceto, Esperanza, Carlos, Abraham, Adrianne(spl) were just some of the people who made our days so enjoyable and friendly. In the evening Galdino, Harim, Isidro and Profirio are a few of the great team of folks that will do everything they can to get you what you want. And if it is not on the menu, ask for it anyway, because they will get it if it is possible.
One of the many pleasures of our visits to HBR has been the couples massages, of which we have always been pleased. This visit we met Angeles (Angie) who was the best of the best. I highly recommend Angie if you want a relaxing massage with just the right amount of pressure for those muscles that you might have overused a bit in the water volleyball game. You will wish that you booked more time, or maybe even schedule a second session after her massage.
Suggestions - get there early in the day and leave late. Book your airport transport in advance and make sure that it is a "private" car so that you don't have to stop at all the resorts along the way. The trip is about 1 1/2 hours each way to/from Cancun airport. We have had good luck with Lomas travel by booking in advance. Also, if you can find an Exotic club member that you can travel with, you will get 50% off the resort price the first visit by going through the Exotic Friends program. The lovely Anna and all of the Exotic staff will assist you in any way they can. (Of course they will require that you have an Exotic Club sales meeting for an hour or two while you are there - well worth it.)
HBR has a huge advantage over some of the other au naturale resorts because of the on-site restaurant. It has maintained a very high quality level over the several years that we have been visiting and it means that you never really have to go over to the "dark" side, even for dinner.
The beach is rocky, but the palapas are plentiful and Esperanza will bring your drinks right to you on the beach or hot tub or anywhere.
Evening entertainment is limited, but can be quite good. If glitzy entertainment is your thing, HBR may not be your best choice.
This is a great place to relax, wind down, play, drink, eat, catch up on reading, meet great people - and if you are new to nudism - this is a wonderful place to start. The friendliest vacationers we've ever met.
