“Beautiful apartments”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 February 2012

We stayed in a 3 x 2 apartment on the top floor. It was spacious and clean and easily accommodated a family of five. The pool and spa are lovely. Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary is a short stroll around the corner and the beach across the road and through a park. It covered all bases for us travelling with a 15 yr old surfer and a 10 and 12 yr old. The low flying airplanes surprised/scared us at first, but I guess being so close to the GC Airport we should have been prepared for that.

We fell in love with Currumbin and enjoyed out stay at Sanctuary Lakes. Will be back again!

“Excellent accommodation”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 February 2012

We had a wonderful holiday. Stayed in three bedroom apartment with our five older children and had plenty of room. Apartment was very clean and equipped with everything that was needed. Beautiful pool and spa area. Great location. Short walk to beaches, restaurants and clubs. Staff very helpful and friendly. Looking forward to returning again in the future

“Our 5th stay and we will be back again! Perfect family accommodation.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 February 2012

We have family living close to the apartments so we come to the Gold Coast often. We have stayed in a couple of other places but once we visited Sanctuary Lakes we haven't gone anywhere else and will keep returning. We always stayed in the 2 bedroom apartments and they are a great size for a family of 4. Having 2 bathrooms is definitely a bonus when travelling with 2 teenage girls! The amount of kitchen equipment & the standard of tv's etc varies between apartments but we've always been happy. For our most recent stay (in January 2012) we had a deluxe 2 br with air-conditioning on the ground floor and it was fantastic.

Our only negative this time was that the bedrooms only had sheer blinds so we were woken by the light at 4.30am. After a day or two we adjusted though and managed to sleep in to a reasonable time. It certainly wouldn't put us off from asking to be in the same apartment again. Some of the apartments we've stayed in have had blockout curtains which have been very welcome.

The grounds and pool area are lovely and they are very sheltered so even if it is windy on the beach, you can still enjoy yourselves in the apartment grounds without it being blowy.

I love that you are away from the hustle and bustle of the rest of the Gold Coast but if you want to visit theme parks etc, you can get on the motorway in a few minutes and it is an easy 20-30 minute drive. You can cross the road in front of the apartments and get to the beach that way or if you want to be closer to the Currumbin Surf Club area, it is a 2 minute walk. Yes it is under the flight path but once you have experienced the first couple of planes overhead you really don't notice it.

Summing up - this is a great family resort, quiet, clean and beautiful pool and spa area and very helpful hosts Miles and Tony. It is very good value for money when you compare it to other places and I don't think you can go wrong.

“Great for families”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 January 2012

We stayed in a 3 bedroom apartment on the lowest floor. Everything was clean and well looked after. The pool area is lovely and it is a short easy walk to the beach, The owners are friendly and helpful. It is very close to the airport but we got used to the aircraft noise.

“Family Accomodaton”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 January 2012

We stayed in 3 bedroom apartment on top floor. . Apartment was great though with everything you could think of supplied. Hosts were friendly & helpful. We had a problem with no hot water on the Sat morning but it was fixed & boiling again by the time we arrived back in the afternoon. Great pools, spa, grounds & security. Air traffic didn't particularly bother us, goes with the area really. Would definitely stay agian but would request lower level as we had babies, prams & an elderly family member & struggled getting everything up stairs all the time as no lifts.

Room Tip: No lifts so if have elderly or request lower level
