I have 2 young children 10 and 9 years old. We were there for new years so I did not want to be right in Surfers Paradise. We had a 2nd floor apartment above the nightclub and pub. After reading the reviews I was really worried I had booked something that was going to be trouble. This was not the case at all. It is a beautifull place with very kid friendly surroundings and only a short drive to broadbeach for a surf. The noise was not an issue and we were facing the road looking over to the beach. Not much a view from the 2nd level but we had a huge balcony wich we loved. Very spaceous unit that was modern and clean. We loved it and will go there again.

Travelled here with a business colleague to meet some clients. We arrived after a flight from New Zealand at around 6.30pm and had not been previously advised that there was no reception after 5pm so it took us a while to locate the correct entrance.

We got to our room very tired and extremley hot only to find that the airconditioning was not working. It took three phone calls to the answering service before the manager actually arrived to sort the problem which was very frustrating. (It ended up just needing new batteries for the remote and she was helpful when she eventually turned up).

We had rung prior to our arrival to clarify where our clients could wait for us but were not told that the actual reception is on the second floor and you need a swipe key to get in from the gound floor. The staff on reception were helpful during the day.

The 9th floor apartment was adequately furnished and as a light sleeper I found it reasonably quiet. The carpet was badly stained in places and the shower tiles looked as though they could do with a good scrub but otherwise the cleanliness was OK.

There is a lovely choice of restaurants less than five minutes walk (turn to the right of the property). We tried the Lazy Lobster and the new Italian restaurant. We were also told by locals that the place across the road has the best fish and chips on the Gold Coast. There is also a nice cafe with good coffee and breakfast choices along from the icecream parlour and a small 7/11 to buy water/milk etc.

It is a great location but if I returned to Labrador I would try another one of the properties along the road first.

The venue is fantastic staff friendly service prompt. The facilities were great and clean. Rooms large roomy and fantastic views from the higher levels. Close to the theme parks and across from the beach with a lagoon for the kids to safely swim in.

Yes, as the other reviewers have said, the noise is an issue, however we did not find it too bad. What we did find more of an issue is the actual apartment. For the money that we paid I would of expected a kitchen with a range of utensils, and a level of cleanliness. Everything we picked up had 'food' particles remaining and had to be rewashed. The towels were threadbare, the carpet absolutely filthy.
Next time we'll pay the same amount of money and go somewhere else.
