Stayed here for a week in Feb 09 with husband and 13 year old son on the top floor in the 2 bedroom penthouse. The rooms were spotless and very spacious. There were two bathrooms, a huge kitchen with plenty of utensils for cooking, oven, mircowave, dishwasher and full sized fridge. Although I only used the kettle and toaster as I do all the cooking at home, I don't cook when away. There was also a separate cupboard that hid the washing machine, dryer, iron, ironing board and an air rack.
If you like soft pillows then your going to have a great sleep but if like me you prefer a firm pillow than I suggest to pack your own as the pillows are very soft. I am a light sleeper and although the building is located on the main highway I did not hear the traffic all night until about 5.30 in the morning.
There was a balcony that wraped across the loungeroom and main bedroom with a table and four chairs which was great to sit out on and overlook the beautiful beach and get a good view of planes flying in.
The apartments are very secure with your room key needed to activate the gate for the car park as well as the front door and lift. Phil the hotel manager was very friendly and polite at all times with great tips on where to eat and places to visit.
Apartments are very centraly located only 10 minute drive from Coolangatta Airport and only 20 minute drive to Surfers Paradise. Some of the shops across the road were, Subway, Cold Rock Ice Creamy, Thai Restaurant, Chinese Restaurant, Indian Restaurt, Pizza Bar, Sushi Bar, Chemist, Surf Shop, mixed business Chemist and many others and there was also a coles supermarket five minutes walk away and two Doctors nearby.
It was a two minute walk to the local surf club which served delicious meals and only two minutes walk to a lovely patrolled beach which was not only great for swimming but also for morning and evening walks.
The apartments had a spa and pool and a games room which consisted of table tennis, pool table, exercise bike, two arcade game machines and a drinks machine. The games room was located in the carpark but we never smelt any fumes from the cars whilst we were there.
The only complaint that I would have is that there was no screen door from the loungeroom to the balcony only a sliding door, which when left open let in a cool breeze but in summer time it would let in the bugs as well.
We would definatly stay at this accommodation again when visiting the Gold Coast
