Beware of this Hotel when using Hotels.com

I made reservations for my Honeymoon at this hotels 3 months in advance using Hotels.com. When I finally found this hotel(no street signs), they kindly took my luggage and sat me down with a glass of grapefruit juice. They then proceed to tell me there was and unfortunate incident with my room and they had to send me to an "upgraded hotel nearby". The new hotel was a 2 star resort 5 blocks from the beach with two twin beds pushed together and a broken TV. After a few hours at the beach I decided to ask for some money back because there "upgrade was really a huge step down. I went to the reception desk to ask what they can do for me and as I was waiting 3 couples CHECKED IN!!! I asked why they were checking in and was told MY block of rooms had an unfortunate incident and not theirs( I had not checked into a room yet). When I pressed them for answers they told me I was moved because I booked on Hotels.com and not their web site. This place purposely oversells and sends people to their other run down hotel because nobody in their right mind would pay for their other location. DO NOT BOOK AT THE Thalassa Sea Side Resort unless you want a huge head ache on vacation!!!

Arrived here after 10 days Island Hopping we were ready for the warm welcome we received from staff. After surviving 4 days at the Kavuras Village Hotel in NAXOS , where staff didnt smile or speak,this was a lovely surprise.The aircraft do fly over in the day but this was quite entertaining , everyone trying to get a good photo and just missing!!Restaurant is limited but food very good and service excellent. All staff bent over backwards to help at the end of a long season unlike the Naxos hotel. Our room was small but clean and a comfortable bed. We had a small quiet pool outside our room and found this convenient and peaceful.

stayed for 2 weeks...upon arrival reception was fantastic...hotel was gorgeous, very clean rooms had everthing you needed. Yes you are very, very close to the airport which was not great with very early morning flights, daytime flights just got use to it! My one complaint is the restuarant was very lacking in everthing i.e. personality and atmosphere etc but Kamari is a short walk and your spoilt for choice for somewhere to dine.

The hotel was beautifully laid out with the close proimity to the beach, lovely pool and gardens well kept. Each day returning from the pool or seaside, the room was freshly cleaned.
Also, this hotel is about a ten minute walk from the center of Kamari which is very possitive as there are many restaurants and bars around (never feel bored....)
The resception staff: Eleftheria, Anna and Yiannis made us feel very comfortable from day one as they were very helpful, polite and always willing to give us advise on how to get around. The bartender and restaurant staff were very friendly and always willing to serve us in a polite maner!

We would like to say a big thank you to all the staff at Thalassa Seaside Resort for making our stay pleasant and we hope to see you all again next year!!!!!!
