This hotel was only opened for 5-8 weeks last year and apparently this year will be the same. I think that we were the first people to stay in this particular apartment. as we had to cet the handyman to take the door of it's hinges and plane/paint the bathroom door before we could shut it. Then it was off to reception to get pillows, dishes and kives that were missing form our room. Later in the week the toilet flooded and we used our towels to stop the whole bathroom these were not replaced altough another couple had raw sewege coming up through a drain outside their apartment.
The pool area however was kept clean and tidy with ample sun beds.
We returned as we like the quiet location but this complex is showing signs of neglect.

We have just returned back from the Roc Menorca Mar and had a fabulous time. It was our first holiday abroad & have a young family 5 & 9. We were very lucky in that we got a poolside apartment, which was great for the kids getting in & out of pool (but just watch the tiles they can be a bit slippy when wet). The apartments are basic, but clean & tidy, and as described in the brochures. Kitchen & bathroom were both clean on arrival. Towels were changed every other day & bedding once a week. We had an easy check in although we had been delayed, both receptionists spoke very good english & were very helpful, in fact all staff were helpful. The pool is extremely large & lovely, & cleaned daily by the handyman who is a great guy - very helpful if you have a problem. There are plenty of sunbeds for everyone under thatched parasols & palm trees. The resort is very peaceful, quiet & relaxing. If you want loud music and bingo go somewhere else! It is a 30min walk to beach along a beautiful coast line past some of the most fantastic villas & the lighthouse, and the sunset is amazing! The marina at Cala n'bosch is beautiful (approx. 20 min walk) , everyone is very friendly & there are some great places to eat: would recommend Tropicana, El Pato & Chaplains. There are 3 supermarkets within a 5 min walk (1 is a spar, a bettabuy & aprop - these all are quite large & have everything you need at english prices - try the sangria in cartons at 98c!! for 1l, bargain & very nice too!!) There is a bar and a restaurant on the complex (although we never ate there, but they do have a happy hour 5-6!) If you want entertainment there are a few bars near the spar, which do caraoke & live shows, The Big Apple & 2 Rocks. There is also about 3 restaurants near the spar, although we never ate in them, we tended to go to the marina every night for the atmosphere, at about 9pm it is buzzing! Good bus service around the island, 1 every 15 min till midnight, so no problem getting about. We went to Cituadella & Mahon, at Mahon you must go on the harbour glass bottomed boat trip - it is wonderful. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday & will recommend to friends.

We've just got back from these apartments and they are the best value. We went with our two children age 9 and 5. The rooms are basic (as it says in the description) but very clean and bed linen and towels changed every couple of days., and the maintenence man keeps the pool and area spotless. Another fan was with us within 5 minutes of asking (it was 32 degrees when we arrived). The children loved the pool, and spent all day in there, which is mainly sloped and shallow around the edges so they can walk in to the large pool, no problem. The childrens pool is very shallow and safe. Surrounding area is lovely, with the villas on the front, which are gorgeous. Sunsets are a must to watch - it's literally right in front of you sinking into the sea. Beautiful. There is the harbour which is a nice walk and plenty of good food choice. All in all, excellent value and no, there isn't a telly (as someone else complained), but do you go away to watch it??!! Brilliant holiday.

Great holiday with my family (kids ages 16 and 7). Having heard some bad things about this apartment I was worried, but I should not have been as it had everything we needed.
Check-in was easy and quick, even though it was very late at night. Rooms were basic but comfortable and everything we needed. Rooms were spotlessly cleaned every two days with fresh towels and bed linen.
Pool was excellent, huge and safe and thouraghly cleaned daily. Good opening times too. Lots of sun loungers and pool bar/food was reasonably priced.
Afternoon and evening entertainment for kids was free and good fun. games room basic but good for hot afternoons to keep out of the sun.
The resort centre (marina) is about 15 mins walk away along the roads or a pleasant 30 minsutes down the coastal road. Lots of extremelly child friendly restaurants with good kids food at a very very cheap price.
Will definetly recommend to others and will consider returning another year.
